It turns out heading to Azerbaijan on short notice against a top prospect isn't the best way to make your UFC debut. Berggren was a big betting underdog here, one of the largest on the card, and it showed. He was out-landed 57-to-17 in terms of Round 1 significant strikes before eating a Round 2 head kick that was the beginning of the end. Even though it was partially blocked, it put him down. He got back up, but Donchenko rushed in for follow-up shots, another knockdown and ultimately, the finish. Berggren should get another chance with the company due to the circumstances here, but given he was 8-3 on the regional circuits leading up to this fight, there may not be much of a ceiling.
