Su Mudaerji

Picks up third straight win
Mudaerji defeated Jesus Aguilar via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC 326 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
After sweeping Kevin Borjas on the scorecards in Shanghai last August, Mudaerji did the same thing to an overmatched Aguilar here. He used a massive 10-inch reach edge to dominate the stand-up exchanges between the two, closing with a 62-31 edge in significant strikes landed. Toss in four successful takedowns on five attempts and you have a lopsided unanimous decision victory on your hands. Su may not be the most technical flyweight on the roster, but any 5-foot-8 125-pounder is worth monitoring. He's won three straight on the heels of a three-fight losing streak.

Next fight scheduled
Mudaerji is scheduled to compete against fellow flyweight Jesus Aguilar at UFC 326 in Las Vegas on March 7, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
After sweeping Shanghai scorecards against Kevin Borjas in August, Mudaerji will look to log back-to-back wins by defeating Aguilar. Mudaerji is on a two-fight win streak after a three-fight loss streak, and defeating Aguilar would balance the former's results out.

Sweeps scorecards in Shanghai
Mudaerji defeated Kevin Borjas via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Shanghai on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
It was a clinical performance from Mudaerji, especially on the defensive end, as he ate just 16 strikes deemed "significant" in the 15-minute fight, landing 73 of his own. He was unsuccessful on all five takedown attempts, but so was his opponent. If there's any critique, he did allow himself to be controlled in the clinch by Borjas for a few moments, but there was no question about the result when it was all said and done. After sustaining a three-fight losing streak from 2022 to 2024, Mudaerji has now picked up back-to-back wins and is building momentum in the flyweight division.

Snaps three-fight losing streak
Mudaerji defeated Mitch Raposo via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC 314 on Saturday on Miami.
ANALYSIS
Entering on a three-fight losing streak, Mudaerji almost certainly would have been handed his walking papers if he came up short once again. He did enough to win, but not by much. Su simply remained at distance and tried to pick Raposo apart from the outside. He gave up six takedowns, but absorbed almost zero damage and was able to work his way back to his feet almost immediately, which ended up being the difference in a fight in which not very much was happening. Mudaerji has an intriguing frame for the flyweight division at 5-foot-8, but that's about it.

Raposo up next
Mudaerji will fight Mitch Raposo at UFC 314 on April 12, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Mudaerji has dropped each of his last three bouts dating back to 2022, so he will surely be desperate to capture a win in April with his spot on the UFC roster potentially on the line. His chance to get back on track will come against an opponent who is still seeking his first win in the promotion after losing his debut in June.

Losing streak hits three
Mudaerji lost to Charles Johnson via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This fight was close enough that it's difficult to believe that not one judge scored it for Mudaerji. In many aspects, it played out like most thought. Su was the much crisper striker and landed the more consistent damaging blows. Yet, Johnson picked up a pair of takedowns and had the biggest moment of the fight with a Round 2 knockdown. Mudaerji began his UFC run with victories in three of his first four fights, but he's now lost three in a row dating back to July 2022, and that's a quick way to lose your roster spot.
