Puts on dominant performance

May 10, 2026
Brady defeated Joaquin Buckley via unanimous decision (30-25, 30-25, 30-27) at UFC 328 on Saturday in Newark.
ANALYSIS
Odds exploded in the hours leading up to this fight, juicing up Buckley to a (-167) favorite after he spent the week as a significant underdog. It seems the sharp bettors got some bad information, as Brady effortlessly secured takedowns throughout the fight, securing a whopping 245 total strikes and controlling from top position. The 33-year-old needed to make a statement after being knocked out in Round 1 by Michael Morales, and he showed exactly what he can do when he is at his best. Brady has all the skills to be a title contender in the ultra-competitive welterweight division, but he will need to string together a few more wins to throw his hat in the ring. Brady improved to 19-2-0 in professional MMA due to the victory.

Ready to take on Buckley
WelterweightUFC
February 21, 2026
Brady will face Joaquin Buckley at UFC Vegas 116 in a welterweight bout on April 25, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Just like Buckley, Brady will also look to deliver a bounce-back performance after losing to Michael Morales on Nov. 15, 2025, in his last fight. That was Brady's first loss since Oct. 2022, and he's on the verge of not only starting a losing streak, but also to continue losing ground in a crowded welterweight division. This matchup between Brady and Buckley will be the main event of the UFC Vegas 116 card.
Finished in top contender matchup
WelterweightUFC
November 15, 2025
Brady lost to Michael Morales via TKO (punches) at 3:27 of Round 1 at UFC 322 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
This was a nightmare result for Brady from the very start, and he was never able to get the train back on track once it went off the rails. Giving up a whopping seven inches in reach to Morales, Sean was battered by the jab from the outside. He never got a chance to get his all-world wrestling game going, attempting just one half-hearted takedown which failed. Brady is never going to win a prolonged kickboxing match against a decent opponent, let alone a potentially elite once such as Morales. At 32 years old, Sean has time to recover from this, but it's going to take a big push moving forward.
Fighting Michael Morales

October 13, 2025
Brady will face off against Michael Morales at UFC 322 on Nov. 15, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Brady hasn't lost a fight since Oct. 2022, though he's only fought three times since then, and he's fresh off a Round 4 Submission win over Leon Edwards in March. He'll face Morales, who defeated Gilbert Burns via TKO last time out.
New contender emerges
WelterweightUFC
March 22, 2025
Brady defeated Leon Edwards via submission (guillotine choke) at 1:39 of Round 4 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in London.
ANALYSIS
That type of performance, against a former world champion, is going to earn you a title shot in the near future. In the short term, Brady will walk away with one of four $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses awarded on the evening. Brady agreed to face Edwards on enemy soil and responded with what was by far the best performance of his career. He closed with a 221-23 edge in total strikes landed, in addition to connecting on 5-of-7 takedowns for 11:10 worth of control time. It was about as dominant of a performance as you will ever see. Brady has limited power and his striking isn't great, but the grappling is a legitimate difference-maker, even at the highest level. The biggest thing working against Sean at this point is that he fought current UFC Welterweight Champion Belal Muhammad back in October 2022 and lost via second-round knockout. He may need one more big win to get a shot at the gold.

February 19, 2025
Brady will face Leon Edwards in a welterweight fight at UFC London on March 22.
ANALYSIS
Brady is coming off a victory in his first UFC main event and will look to build on his previous performance against Edwards, a former UFC champion. The 5-foot-10 brawler will look to extend his UFC record to 8-1 with the victory and put his name in the title conversation. He gets this opportunity on relatively short notice, as Edwards was originally supposed to face Jack Della Maddalena here, but the latter was abruptly removed in favor of a title shot at UFC 315.
