Movsar Evloev

Russia
Remains perfect. Title shot next?
Evloev defeated Lerone Murphy via majority decision (48-46, 48-46, 47-47) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in London.
ANALYSIS
By the time the final bell rang, very few people would have watched this fight and said Murphy was the better mixed martial artist. That said, Evloev nearly gave this one away. He did nothing in the first two rounds, landing a grand total of 28 total strikes and not attempting a single takedown. Inexplicably, two of the judges gave him Round 1, which led to him winning the fight. Evloev was later docked a point in Round 3 for repeated low blows. Movsar turned the volume up midway through the third frame and dominated the rest of the way. He landed nine of his 10 takedown attempts and rag-dolled an overmatched Murphy all over the Octagon over the course of the final two rounds. This could have been a much different result even though it's quite clear Evloev is the better fighter. As is, he's almost certainly next in line for a shot at Alexander Volkanovski's UFC Featherweight Championship.

Will main event UFC London
Evloev (undisclosed) will main event UFC London in a featherweight fight against Lerone Murphy on March 21, according to Damon Martin of MMA Fighting.
ANALYSIS
UFC London will mark Evloev's first fight since 2024, as he sat out all of 2025 for undisclosed reasons. Evloev's 19-0 MMA record includes a perfect 9-0 UFC record, which includes wins over Arnold Allen, multi-time championship challenger Diego Lopes and former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling. On the other hand, Evloev's next opponent is also undefeated, and so the winner of their high-stakes fight is on pace to challenge UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski.

No longer fighting Aaron Pico
Evloev has been ruled out for his fight against Aaron Pico at UFC Abu Dhabi, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Evloev was set to face Aaron Pico on July 26 but a sudden change of events will leave Pico awaiting for a new opponent. Movsar was looking to extend his perfect record in the UFC after winning in his last fight. More news regarding his availability for future bouts should surface in the near future.

Pico up next
Evloev is scheduled to compete against fellow featherweight Aaron Pico at UFC Abu Dhabi on July 26, per the promotion's president Dana White.
ANALYSIS
Evloev was a fringe contender to be Alexander Volkanovski's next challenger for the UFC Featherweight Championship. Instead, the former will have a chance at getting one step closer to gold. Evloev's next opponent has experience in PFL and Bellator, but not yet in the UFC.

Remains perfect in UFC
Evloev defeated Aljamain Sterling via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 310 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Evloev remains undefeated as a pro, and boy did he have to work for it. Over the course of the 15 minute bout, the two men combined for 10 takedowns (four for Evloev) and 12:25 worth of control time. They also combined for a grand total of 20 significant strikes. To say this was a grappling match would be a massive understatement. Evloev and Sterling fought to identical terms, but the former was able to reverse position midway through Round 3 and finish in dominating fashion. Evloev's striking remains a work in progress, but he's an elite grappler with excellent cardio. He also doesn't make many mistakes inside the Octagon. The lone complaint is that all nine of his UFC wins have gone the distance.

Fight rebooked for UFC 310

ANALYSIS
Evloev, who was originally scheduled for a showdown with Sterling at UFC 307, will face off against the 35-year-old American at UFC 310 in December. The 30-year-old Russian fighter will look to move to a perfect 9-0 record in the UFC with a victory over Sterling.
