Michael Page

England
Bests Sam Patterson via decision
Page defeated Sam Patterson via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in London.
ANALYSIS
It ended up being a very boring fight between two guys with very similar skill sets. Page and Patterson combined to land 39 significant strikes in what was a 15-minute kickboxing match. 27 of those -- and the few notable blows there were -- came from the Page side, but that's about all there is to say about this one. The good news for MVP is that this was a fight in which he had nothing to gain and everything to lose in terms of the rankings, and he got the job done. Page has been great since coming over from Bellator, going 4-1 in his first five UFC fights.

Patterson next at welterweight
Page is scheduled to compete against Sam Patterson in a welterweight fight at UFC London on March 21, per Damon Martin of MMA Fighting.
ANALYSIS
Page will look to improve his winning streak to three. He stopped Shara Magomedov's hype train in early-2025 and capped off the year by outlasting former UFC Middleweight Championship challenger Jared Cannonier. For the London graphic, it says Page is fighting welterweight mainstay Patterson in the latter's division, meaning MVP will go down a weight class for UFC London.

Surgical performance in Chicago
Page defeated Jared Cannonier via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 319 on Saturday in Chicago, Illinois.
ANALYSIS
Page worked his game to perfection Saturday, pot-shotting and frustrating Cannonier for the majority of the fight. Things got a bit more interesting when a slip from "MVP" allowed Cannonier to take top position in Round 3, but the latter was unable to find a finish. Page fights can get a bit tedious, but that's to his credit, as he presents such danger and is so solid with his defense that opponents don't often get much done. It's difficult to see where Page goes from here, as he hinted after the fight that he has plans to go back down to welterweight. Wherever he ends up, you can bet that Page will be making life miserable for any fighter who is unable to impose their will. He moves to 24-3-0 in professional MMA as a result of the victory

Cannonier in Chicago
Page is scheduled to compete against fellow middleweight Jared Cannonier at UFC 319 in Chicago on Aug. 16, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Page has an opportunity to not only enter the UFC's middleweight rankings but also establish himself as a top-10 contender. Currently, Cannonier is No. 7, which he most recently maintained by finishing Gregory Rodrigues. Around that time, Page ended Shara Magomedov's hype train and will look to begin his own with an impressive win.

Stops Magomedov hype train
Page defeated Shara Magomedov via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
ANALYSIS
Moving up a weight class at age 37 to fight an undefeated top prospect? No problem. Neither man accomplished very much offensively, but Page clearly landed the more notable blows. More importantly, his constant awkward movements left Magomedov baffled and totally off balance. That's the beauty of MVP's style. It's nearly impossible to mimic in training and can still cause tons of problems for most anyone. Page has fought three times in less than 11 months since arriving in the UFC, with wins over Kevin Holland and Magomedov and a tight decision loss to Ian Garry on his ledger. The fact he's proven capable of effectively competing in two weight classes opens up a ton of options for him moving forward.

Set to fight Magomedov
Page will fight Shara Magomedov at UFC Saudi Arabia on Feb. 1, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Coming off a loss to Ian Garry, Page will now be tasked with taking down an undefeated opponent, though his six-inch reach advantage may help him hand Magomedov the first loss of his professional career.
