Draws Tavares in OKC
Barriault will take on Brad Tavares in a middleweight matchup at UFC Oklahoma City on July 18, Marcel Dorff of Heavy on Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
It might be the last call for the 36-year-old Barriault, who has lost five of his last six fights with the company. He faces an opponent in Tavares who is equally hard up, having lost four of five. Barriault strikes at a higher volume, but he also gets hit far more frequently. Neither has offered much in terms of grappling of late. Height and reach match up identically here.

Falls to 1-5 in past six fights
Barriault lost to Michal Oleksiejczuk via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
The fact this fight was totally up for grabs in the dying minutes was a best-case scenario for Barriault as a +375 underdog. He appeared to enter with a real game plan -- that being to let Oleksiejczuk tire himself and pick on the pieces afterwards. To some extent, it worked. He survived Round 1 and turned the tables in Round 2, clinching a ton and winning with dirty boxing. Unfortunately for Barriault, the vast majority of Round 3 was fought at distance where Oleksiejczuk had a major advantage. Marc-Andre will be 36 years of age in 11 days and is now 1-5 in his past six fights dating back to January 2024, with three of those defeats coming via knockout. Despite those struggles, there was a positive here, as Barriault would go home with an extra $100,000 after this back-and-forth affair was awarded Fight of the Night honors.

Taking on Oleksiejczuk in February
Barriault will face Michal Oleksiejczuk at a UFC event in Las Vegas on February 7, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Barriault will head into the bout looking to bounce back after his recent defeat at the hands of Shara Magomedov in July. The 35-year-old Canadian will take a slight height advantage into the fight in comparison to the younger Polish fighter. With a combined 27-4 professional record in KO/TKO finishes, both fighters will be looking to use their stopping power to end this one early.

Hangs tough in decision loss
Barriault lost to Shara Magomedov via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
By far the largest underdog on the card at upwards of +500, Barriault fought better than the scorecards would lead you to believe. He certainly appeared to win Round 2 regardless of what all three judges thought. Barriault's issue has long been that he's a big, powerful guy with questionable cardio. If he isn't able to get his opponent out of there almost immediately, like he did against Bruno Silva in his most recent bout in May, his odds of winning decrease dramatically. By the time this fight hit Round 3, Magomedov was pulling away. Going three hard-fought rounds on the road against a quality opponent in Magomedov is a great sign, but it remains unclear if Barriault, at age 35 and with losses in four of his past fight five fights, is going to get another opportunity with the company. At least this back-and-forth affair would go on to earn him a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus.

Barriault will face Shara Magomedov at UFC Abu Dhabi on July 26, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Barriault should be the odds-on favorite for this one, as he's facing an opponent who's coming off the first loss of his UFC career but without many impressive wins to his name. Meanwhile, Barriault defeated Bruno Silva, a heavier opponent, via knockout in his most recent fight, so the 35-year-old might have the momentum for this contest.

Easily finishes heavy opponent
Barriault defeated Bruno Silva via KO (strikes) at 1:27 of Round 1 at UFC 315 on Saturday in Montreal.
ANALYSIS
In a battle of two guys fighting for their jobs, Barriault not only came away victorious, but will walk away with 20 percent of Silva's purse after the latter missed weight Friday morning, as well as a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. This bout was competitive for about a minute, at which point Barriault pushed forward and trapped the Brazilian along the fence. It was over moments later. It's more likely than not this outcome was the result of Silva's struggles as opposed to any gains made by the Canadian, but Barriault, even at age 35, is going to get another chance coming off this strong effort.
