Jasmine Jasudavicius

Canada
Taking on Blanchfield
Jasudavicius will face Erin Blanchfield in a flyweight bout at UFC 330 on August 15, Marcel Dorff of Heavy on Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Jasudavicius last fought in April, defeating Karine Silva by unanimous decision. She is 6-1 in her last seven bouts, with her only loss coming against Manon Fiorot. The flyweight will now take on the much younger Blanchfield as she looks to spoil her opponent's title fight aspirations.

Blankets opponent in victory
Jasudavicius defeated Karine Silva via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-29) at UFC Fight Night 273 on Saturday in Winnipeg.
ANALYSIS
We have seen Jasudavicius impose her will in fights, but this was a much less active performance, as she landed just one significant strike in the first round while searching for her takedowns. She was able to find much more success in rounds two and three, but this amounted to the Canadian fighter pinning Silva in advantageous positions as the clock bled out. The most important thing for Jasudavicius was to get a win after her quick knockout loss to Manon Fiorot in October, but this isn't the first time we have seen her struggle to find her footing with agile opponents. She will need to put on more dominant performances if she wants to return to the flyweight title picture. Jasudavicius improved to 15-4-0 in professional MMA as a result of the victory.

Lasts 74 seconds in Vancouver
Jasudavicius lost to Manon Fiorot via TKO (punches) at 1:14 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Vancouver.
ANALYSIS
Fighting in her native Canada and almost certainly looking at a title shot if she emerged victorious here, Jasudavicius lasted a shade over a minute. Jasmine has never had durability issues in the past, having never been knocked out entering the evening, but one quick Fiorot combination put her on skates and led to the stoppage. Jasudavicius offers next to nothing on the feet, and she's always going to struggle if she isn't able to get her wrestling game going, but few could have seen her going out so quickly in this one. Set to turn 37 years of age next March, there's no guarantee Jasmine will be able to get back to this type of level at any point in the future.

Rolls through former champion
Jasudavicius defeated Jessica Andrade via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:40 of Round 1 at UFC 315 on Saturday in Montreal.
ANALYSIS
Many were shocked Jasudavicius found herself upwards of a -300 favorite against a former UFC champion. It turned out to be nowhere near a high enough number following what was the best performance of her career (one that would go on to win her a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus). Jasmine has little power and her stand-up skills are average at best, but she's a relentless wrestler and is supremely dangerous when she gets you to the mat. She blasted Andrade to the ground without issue, and after some unanswered blows, transitioned to the rear-naked choke which closed the show. The Canadian has won five in a row and seven of eight dating back to February 2023. Jasudavicius turned 36 years of age this past March. Her time is now and the UFC should continue to push her quickly given her age and how good she's been of late.

Bout with Andrade on tap
Jasudavicius will take on Jessica Andrade in a Strawweight bout at UFC 315 on May 10 in Montreal, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Jasudavicius is coming off yet another victory, he fourth straight. She most recently took care of business against Mayra Bueno Silva via unanimous decision back on Feb. 1. She'll look to make it five in a row and push her UFC record to 8-2 against a fighter in Andrade who is significantly more experienced within the promotion but has hit a rough patch, losing four of her last six fights.
