Suffers first pro defeat
HeavyweightUFC
April 4, 2026
Pat lost to Thomas Petersen via majority decision (28-28, 27-29, 27-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
If you would have told Pat entering the evening that he would have stuffed all five of Petersen's takedown attempts, he would have certainly signed up for that and seemingly been in great position to earn a victory. Instead, he was on his way to dropping a majority decision regardless, even if he didn't get dominated to the tune of a 10-8 mark on a pair of scorecards in Round 3. Truth be told, Pat didn't do enough to win. His perceived advantage in the stand-up really didn't pan out because he only attempted 42 total strikes. The Brazilian has just seven professional fights under his belt despite being 31 years old. He's a depth option in the heavyweight division.

January 26, 2026
Pat will face off against Thomas Petersen at UFC Fight Night 272 on April 4 in Las Vegas, Mike Heck of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pat is fresh off a victory at UFC Fight Night against Allen Frye on Dec. 13. He'll aim to stay undefeated in just his second UFC bout against an opponent in Petersen, who lost his last matchup Oct. 11 against Vitor Petrino.
Takes decision in UFC debut
HeavyweightUFC
December 13, 2025
Pat defeated Allen Frye via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It would have been nice to see Pat earn the stoppage in his UFC debut considering the level of opponent he was facing, but to his credit, he did pick up a clear cut victory. Seemingly twice as fast as Frye on the feet, Pat won the significant strike battle by a 64-33 count. Virtually all the notable blows came from him. That's going to have to continue moving forward because the Brazilian offers little in terms of grappling. Pat, who will turn 32 years old in April, has just six professional fights under his belt.
Slated for UFC debut
HeavyweightUFC
September 19, 2025
Pat will take on AJ Frye in a heavyweight bout at UFC Vegas 112 on Dec. 13, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Pat will make his UFC debut sporting a 5-0 professional record. He's fought in promotions like the LFA and Spartacus, and will now take his talents to the UFC. His opponent Frye, meanwhile, is also making his debut with the promotion, so it'll be both fighters' first time inside the Octagon.
