Fernandes lost to Casey O'Neill via KO (punches) at 3:11 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Fresh off three straight victories against lower-level opposition, Fernandes faced a step up in competition here against O'Neill and was barely able to last three minutes. She was clipped with a wild left hook which left her wobbled, and O'Neill proceeded to fire off countless follow up shots until referee Mike Beltran had seen enough. Fernandes lost her first two UFC fights prior to this recent string of success, so she's still sitting on just a .500 record through her first half-dozen bouts with the company.

Looks to make it four straight
FlyweightUFC
January 12, 2026
Fernandes will take on Casey O'Neill in a flyweight matchup at UFC Seattle on March 28, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Fernandes last competed in August, taking a decision from Julija Stoliarenko to run her winning streak to three. She now draws O'Neill, who is 5-2 in the UFC but hasn't competed since August of 2024. O'Neill has a three-inch reach advantage and a statistical edge in volume striking, but ring rust could play a role given the time off.
Picks up third straight victory
FlyweightUFC
August 10, 2025
Fernandes defeated Julija Stoliarenko via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27) at UFC Vegas 109 on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
It would have been nice to see a more dominant effort from Fernandes given she entered as a betting favorite in the ballpark of (-400), but she emerged victorious despite coming up just short in the striking numbers. Fernandes clearly had the bigger moments of the fight, as she landed some nasty body shots in Round 1, opened up a cut on her opponent in Round 2 and connected with a big knee in an otherwise-lackluster Round 3. She also defended all six of her opponent's takedown attempts. This win marks her third in a row after starting her UFC run with back-to-back losses. Two of those wins earned her post-fight bonuses. She may not be dominant and gets hit a bit too much, but Fernandes' record suggests she could be closing in on impactful flyweight fights in the not-too-distant future.

Fernandes will take on Julija Stoliarenko at UFC Vegas 109 on Aug. 9, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The Brazilian flyweight will take on her next opponent in late summer after pulling off a huge win against Cong Wang via technical submission back in November of 2024. Fernandes is now 2-2 in the UFC, and he'll look to break .500 as she fights Stoliarenko, who has more UFC experience and is also 2-2 in her last four fights.
Pulls biggest upset of 2024
FlyweightUFC
November 23, 2024
Fernandes defeated Cong Wang via technical submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:49 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Macau, China.
ANALYSIS
It took until late November, but we officially have our biggest upset of the year from a betting perspective. Fernandes entered as a +750 underdog. She didn't show much in Round 1, as Wang easily dominated, but Gabriella looked better in Round 2 when the fight broke down into a total brawl. She somehow manage to land a knockdown and that allowed her to work her way to the back of her opponent and the rear-naked choke. The Brazilian has now won two straight after dropping her first two UFC bouts.
Bout scheduled for November

Fernandes will fight Cong Wang at UFC Macau on Nov. 23, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
After going 0-2 in her first UFC fights, Fernandes picked up a win in June against Carli Judice. She'll likely be tested in November after Cong Wang delivered a first-round knockout as part of her UFC debut.
