Barely gets past Johnny Walker
Reyes defeated Johnny Walker via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC 327 on Saturday in Miami.
ANALYSIS
It's the rare fight in which both men saw their stock drop as a result. Reyes and Walker figured to be an all-action bout given the extreme durability issues of each, but both stood around for 15 minutes doing nothing, so the fight ended up seeing the final bell. Reyes likely won due to a bit more output in Round 3, but it was so boring that it's impossible to get too worked up about the result either way. Dom, at age 36, has turned his career around of late, going 4-1 in his past five fights dating back to June 2024, but there's nothing to suggest he's on the same level as the top guys at 205 pounds at the moment.

Fighting Walker in April
Reyes will fight Johnny Walker at UFC 327 on April 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
After rattling off three consecutive victorties, Reyes lost his winning streak at the hands of Carlos Ulberg in September. The 36-year-old Reyes will now get a chance to bounce back against Walker but will have to do so while giving up two inches of height and more than five inches of reach to his opponent.

Blasted by Carlos Ulberg
Reyes lost to Carlos Ulberg via KO (punches) at 4:27 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Perth, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Reyes appeared to be back on track after picking up three straight knockout victories, but not surprisingly, he found things considerably more difficult against Ulberg than the likes of Nikita Krylov, Anthony Smith, and Dustin Jacoby. Reyes is a tall, long guy and a talented kickboxer, but his lack of durability is his greatest flaw, and that reared it's ugly head here following a one-two combination from Ulberg. Set to turn 36 years of age the day after Christmas, this felt like Reyes' last chance to truly get back in title conversation. It just doesn't appear to be meant to be.

Facing Ulberg in Perth
Reyes will face Carlos Ulberg in a light heavyweight bout at UFC Perth on Sept. 27, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Reyes and Ulberg collide as some of the best light heavyweight fighters in MMA, and each is riding a nice winning streak. Ulberg, of course, has won every fight since his UFC debut and sits at 8-1, while Reyes has won three straight to bump his record to 9-4. What's more, each fighter has an identical height and reach. This should be a highly entertaining bout.

Third straight knockout win
Reyes defeated Nikita Krylov via KO (punches) at 2:24 of Round 1 at UFC 314 on Saturday in Miami.
ANALYSIS
Reyes nearly took the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship from Jon Jones back in February 2020. He lost his next three fights with the company and appeared to be finished. Yet he stuck with it, and now he has his third knockout win in a row in a span of the last nine months. This one, his most impressive to date, was a thing of beauty. He crushed Krylov with a left hand which put him out on the spot. Time is against Reyes considering he'll be 36 years of age a day after Christmas, but he has legitimate power, and he's always been an above-average athlete for the division. He's not done yet.

Next fight booked
Reyes is set to face off against Nikita Krylov at UFC 314 on Apr. 12, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Reyes, who most recently took down Anthony Smith at UFC 310, will look to stay hot during his matchup with Nikita Krylov in April. The 35-year-old American fighter is 8-4 during his UFC career after winning his last two fights via KO.
