A former NFL player that has never learned the finer points of MMA, Lane is going to struggle in anything other than a short brawl. Going up against a legitimate explosive athlete like Petrino who has both a reasonable ground game and legitimate power is a recipe for disaster. This fight was over the second Lane gave up an early takedown. He was never able to work his way back to his feet, and Petrino eventually earned the submission win in his heavyweight debut.
