23-Year-Old Tight EndTE
Los Angeles Rams
2026 Fantasy Outlook
The Rams directed the fifth-most passes in the NFL to tight ends (150), but only 25 of those went to Ferguson, as Colby Parkinson (56), Tyler Higbee (36) and Davis Allen (33) were all targeted more frequently by Matthew Stafford. All four TEs remain on the roster, and the Rams have added rookie second-round pick TE Max Klare to the mix, plus they still have WRs Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, who combined for 280 targets in 2025. Ferguson’s path to increased production in his second season is to move up a few pegs in the Rams’ pecking order at TE, as LA is unlikely to deviate too much from an offensive approach that helped the Rams lead the NFL in scoring last season. The 2025 second-round pick may have the talent to do so, as Ferguson showcased some promising receiving skills with 14 touchdown catches over his last three years at Oregon, but it would require a substantial improvement for Ferguson to become a major contributor after he caught only 11 passes for 231 yards and three TDs in his rookie campaign. Several members of the Rams organization have suggested that Ferguson will have a big 2026 season, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Oregon product had a quiet rookie campaign in 2025, catching 11 of 25 targets for 231 yards and three touchdowns over 14 regular-season games, but veteran tight end Tyler Higbee said he believes Ferguson is "going to be a great player." With that said, Ferguson could face plenty of competition for snaps during the coming campaign, as the Rams have a crowded tight-end room that includes Higbee, Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen and second-round rookie Max Klare.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Ferguson’s totals in catches and receiving yards increased in each of his four years at Oregon, culminating with 43 receptions for 591 yards in 2024 before the Rams drafted him with the 46th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-5, 247-pound TE had only three touchdown catches in his senior season, but he racked up 11 TDs over the previous two years. Ferguson’s 4.63-second 40-yard dash was decent for his size, and the former high school basketball player is a good athlete, though he’ll need to solidify his blocking skills and will likely be eased in as a depth option behind starter Tyler Higbee. The rookie second-round pick will likely begin his career jostling with Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen for the top backup role.

Breakout candidate
TELos Angeles Rams
June 23, 2026
Several members of the Rams' coaching staff or front office believe Ferguson will take a step forward in his second year as a pro, Sarah Barshop of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Ferguson recorded only 11 receptions as a rookie in the Rams' crowded tight end room. The team still boasts impressive depth at the position with Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson and 2026 second-round pick Max Klare all on the roster, but Ferguson could still be poised to take on a larger role after a big finish to the 2025 regular season. He found the end zone and made multiple catches in both Weeks 16 and 17.
