2026 Fantasy Outlook
Bond, a 2026 sixth-round pick, faces steep competition for a depth role in his rookie year. At 5-11, 190 pounds, he projects most comfortably as a slot receiver and underneath chain-mover at the NFL level, a role in which 2025 third-rounder Jaylin Noel undeniably offers more big-play potential. In addition to No. 1 WR Nico Collins, all of Jayden Higgins, Tank Dell, Xavier Hutchinson and Justin Watson represent additional competition for Bond. Read Past Outlooks
Makes noise during OTAs
Bond, who was a sixth-round selection in April's NFL Draft, "turned heads" during OTAs, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bond was part of the second-team offense during practice sessions and "made plays," per Bien-Aime. Of course, it's still very early in the offseason, but Bond certainly didn't hurt his chances of making the season-opening 53-man roster with his initial impression. Still, Brett Coomer of the Houston Chronicle projects the Boston College product to be on the roster bubble given the Texans' crowded wide-receiver room.

Shines in OTAs
Jared Koch of SI.com relays that Bond has been one of the most impressive performers during OTAs and is making an early case for regular work in the Texans' offense.
ANALYSIS
The Texans have fairly good depth at wide receiver, with the group headlined by Nico Collins and Jayden Higgins. However, Bond has been getting plenty of reps with both the first- and second-team offenses during OTAs and has taken advantage of the extra reps by displaying strong hands and work after the catch. If Bond can maintain that level of play in training camp, the Boston College product could supplant veteran Justin Watson for a depth spot on the Texans' 53-man roster.
