2026 Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
We've seen two very different versions of Pace in his two-year NFL career, as he looked to be an emerging star thanks to a surprising breakout season in his rookie year after going undrafted. However, he regressed significantly in 2024, allowing 12.2 yards per reception while suffering a missed tackle rate of 14.3 percent (per PFF). The hope would be that his subpar performance was caused by an ankle injury that he suffered early in the season. Pace will enter 2025 healthy and in line for a key season that could either affirm his starting role in the Minnesota defense or push him into a reserve role. Read Past Outlooks
Ends contract as depth linebacker
Pace ended the 2025 regular season with 62 tackles (34 solo), including 1.0 sacks, over 17 games.
ANALYSIS
Pace started the season with a high defensive snap share due to the absence of Blake Cashman, who suffered a hamstring injury in Week 1. As the season continued, Pace saw diminished defensive snaps. The 25-year-old will enter the 2026 offseason as a restricted free agent, meaning the Vikings will have an opportunity to match any offer Pace might receive.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Puka Nacua was among the biggest fantasy heroes in traditional leagues in 2023, going from a late-round pick to overtaking Cooper Kupp as the Rams' top receiver. Pace was the equivalent on the opposite side of the ball. He landed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent and immediately made an impression with the team throughout offseason activities and training camp. He earned a rotational role amongst the linebacker corps beginning in Week 1 as a result - an impressive enough feat -- before becoming an every-down starter from Week 11 on. With veteran Jordan Hicks now in Cleveland, Pace is set to be one of the leaders of the defense and the top candidate to wear the green dot. He may have emerged out of nowhere, but Pace is here to stay and will only trend up in 2024.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could return in Week 17
Pace could return from a hamstring injury in Week 17 against the Packers, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pace has been sidelined since Week 12 and was designated to return from injured reserve. While his status remains unclear, coach Kevin O'Connell said the team will allow Pace's progress during the week to dictate whether he can return to the field. His activation would be a big lift to the defense, returning the linebacker corps to full strength.
