FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Patrick Beverley, HOU vs GS ($5,700) – Beverley is playing solid minutes as of late and has been filling the stat sheet. He's scored 37.3, 27.9 and 37.4 fantasy points in his last three games and is averaging 13.3 actual points over that span. That shows that Beverley doesn't have to be reliant on scoring to have a big game. Also, this over/under is at 236.5 in a game that should be face-paced, so Beverley is a cheap way to get a piece of it.

Darren Collison, SAC at MEM ($4,700) – Collison is coming off a great game where he played 37 minutes and recorded 34.9 fantasy points after scoring 28.2 on Sunday. The uptick in minutes is the notable stat here as Rudy Gay's absence should help Collison's fantasy value overall. He will likely get more shots and handle the ball more on offense as a result. While Memphis isn't the greatest matchup, the increase in usage and minutes should get him over 5X his value again.

Mario Hezonja ($3,500), C.J. Watson ($3,500), ORL vs MIL – Both of these players are risky considering their respective floors, but they might be in play tonight for GPPs. Jodie Meeks will miss a couple of week and Evan Fournier has been out with a heel injury, though he hasn't been ruled out tonight. That will likely leave 30-plus minutes for one of these guy — whoever draws the start will be the preferred option.

Dario Saric, PHI vs POR ($4,200) – It's always a good idea to use power forwards against Portland, which has given up the most fantasy points to the position on the season. While Saric doesn't start, he should play about half the game and make his value against the Blazers' second team. He's scored at least 20 fantasy points in eight of his last 11 games, and has two efforts of over 30 during that time frame.

Brandon Ingram, LAL vs IND ($4,200) – This pick is dependent on the status of Luol Deng, who has missed time recently with a sore wrist. Deng sat out practice Thursday, suggesting he'll miss another game tonight. Ingram has played games of at least 31 minutes in three of his last four, parlaying the extra minutes into fantasy performances of 28.5 and 33 points in two of those three.

Joe Ingles, UTA at DAL ($4,000) – Ingles should be pretty chalky tonight considering the price and that he's guaranteed big minutes with Rodney Hood out. Ingles played 34 minutes against the Suns in Hood's first game out and had a nice run during the month of December. He had bigger minutes at times that month and finished eight games with at least 20 fantasy points. At his current price, getting to 5X his value shouldn't be a problem, and this is probably the last chance to use him before his price and ownership go up.

Myles Turner, IND at LAL ($6,700) – This doesn't appear to be any type of great bargain, but considering the opponent, Turner should be priced at least $1,000 higher tonight. The Lakers are tied for giving up the most fantasy points to center on the season (49.7) and have been even worse over the last five games, allowing 65.2 fantasy points to the position. Turner has 55 and 39.9-fantasy-point games in two of his last five, demonstrating the type of upside he has.

Cody Zeller, CHA vs TOR ($5,000) – This price is a bit deflated for Zeller, who recently dealt with both a concussion and an illness. While Zeller has averaged 23 fantasy points per game this season (4.6X at this price), that number is a little misleading. Zeller has seen his minutes rise as the season has gone on, which has subsequently brought up his fantasy value . The Raptors have been a little weaker to opposing centers this year, giving up the 10th most fantasy points, likely due to the lack of an inside presence lined up with Jonas Valanciunas.
