FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Picks

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

T.J. McConnell, PHI at DEN ($3,800)Sergio Rodriguez has already been ruled out of this one, putting McConnell in line to start. The matchup against Denver is good, too, as they're allowing the second most points to opposing guards this season. Even though there's blowout potential, McConnell's minutes should be secure with the lack of point guard depth.

Austin Rivers, LAC at HOU ($4,300) – This pick is in play only if J.J. Redick is ruled out once again while he deals with a hamstring injury. Rivers has started and played 32 and 42 minutes in each of the last two games and parlayed the extra playing time into 29.8 and 27.1 fantasy points. This is a great matchup as well, with Houston playing at a faster pace and Rivers likely to be guarded by James Harden and not Patrick Beverly.

Seth Curry, DAL at GS ($4,300) – Curry has carved out a nice role with the Mavericks' second unit and has seen minutes in the upper 20s as of late. He's scored at least 20 fantasy points in six of his last seven games (14 fantasy points being the odd one out), showing the nice floor he's established for himself. This should be more of an uptempo game for Dallas playing at Golden State and there might be the opportunity for more playing time if any of the guards are rested on the second night of a back-to-back.

Reggie Jackson, DET at ATL ($5,500)

Reggie Jackson, DET at ATL ($5,500) – Jackson has finally seen an uptick in minutes and has played at least 30 in each of his last three games. This pick is all about the matchup, as Dennis Schroder and the Hawks have given up the second most fantasy points to opposing point guards this year. Look for this to be one of the more entertaining games on the slate with a great big-man matchup between Dwight Howard and Andre Drummond.

Dante Cunningham, NO vs NYK ($3,800) – Cunningham has quietly put himself on the DFS map despite not being the most talented player. The key here is that his minutes have been 32, 37 and 34 over his last three games. With that kind of playing time, Cunningham is able to contribute a little in every fantasy category across the board. As a result, he's scored 24.3, 20.2 and 20.4 fantasy points in those three games. If you need a punt at small forward tonight, Cunningham is your man.

Jon Leuer, DET at ATL ($4,900) – Despite seeing an increase in playing time and a move into the starting lineup, Leuer's price tag has stayed consistently below the $5K mark. Leuer has been very steady from a fantasy perspective, hitting at least 4X value in each of his last seven games. For perspective, Hawks give up the second least points to opposing power forwards at 38.3 fantasy points per game, while the Pelicans give up the fourth most at 43.4 fantasy points per game.

Gorgui Dieng, MIN vs MIL ($5,500) – Dieng has been up and down most of the season, averaging 25.7 fantasy points in the process. He's hit the 30 fantasy-point mark in three of his last five games and his minutes are up, as he's played at least 39 in four of his last six. The home matchup against the Bucks is a good one, as they've allowed the fourth most fantasy points to opposing forwards on the season.

Montrezl Harrell, HOU vs LAC ($4,100) – Harrell finally had a hiccup for the first time since Clint Capela went down, scoring only 12.9 fantasy points against Dallas. The Mavericks play at a very slow pace so this shouldn't come as a complete surprise. However, before this game he had at least 19 fantasy points in four straight games and has a good matchup. The absence of Blake Griffin has made life easier for opposing centers as the Clippers have given up the seventh most fantasy points to opposing centers over their last five games.

Joakim Noah, NYK at NO ($4,700) – Noah's minutes are finally up (he's coming off a season-high 38) and is averaging a double-double over his last four games. A quick glance at this matchup may have owners looking elsewhere given the idea that Anthony Davis would be guarding Noah. Davis, however, typically plays the four spot and matches up with the opposing team's power forward. As a result, Omer Asik, a bad defender, will likely guard Noah, and the Pelicans are giving up the fourth most fantasy points to opposing centers this season.
