2026 Fantasy Outlook
Leasure led Chicago relievers in multiple categories in 2025, including wins (5), saves (7), holds (14) and strikeouts (81). The 27-year-old posted an impressive 30.1% strikeout rate, but issued 30 free passes across 64.1 innings for an 11.2 percent walk rate that was well below league average (10th percentile). Leasure's 49.3 fly ball percentage was one of the highest marks among relievers while his 25.3 infield fly ball rate ranked first, but he also served up 12 homers for a poor 1.7 HR/9. The right-hander's four-seam fastball was mostly to blame, as it was responsible for eight of those home runs while producing a -6 Statcast Run Value that was the worst among relievers. If Leasure continues throwing more sliders - and the pitch remains effective as it was in 2025 - he could produce even better results in 2026. Chicago's signing of Seranthony Dominguez in January immediately re-ordered the bullpen pecking order, with Leasure now likely to fill a setup role. Read Past Outlooks

The right-hander appeared in 68 games last season, recording a 3.92 ERA along with 81 strikeouts and seven saves for Chicago. The 27-year-old will pitch near the back end of the bullpen as a vital, high-leverage arm for the White Sox in 2026 next to a number of converted starters including Grant Taylor, Jordan Hicks and Sean Newcomb.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
Leasure impressed the White Sox during Cactus League play last year to earn a spot in the team's Opening Day bullpen. The hard-throwing right-hander found himself in high-leverage situations right away, earning the first of his nine holds during his major-league debut. The 26-year-old posted a respectable 2.52 ERA through his first 26 outings, but he was jettisoned to the minors after hitting a rough patch in June. After a few weeks in Triple-A, Leasure was recalled to the majors but suffered a shoulder impingement after a few appearances that effectively ended his season. Even though he struggled through his first 31.1 big-league innings, the White Sox may still be interested in giving Leasure high-leverage opportunities in 2025 to aid his development.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Nearly headed to Boston
According to Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com, Leasure's name came up in trade discussions between the White Sox and Red Sox.
Analysis
The Red Sox were looking to offload Jordan Hicks' contract, and getting Leasure likely would have required them to pay down more salary or send more prospect capital to the White Sox. Leasure made 68 appearances for Chicago last year and recorded seven saves and 15 holds with a 3.92 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 81:30 K:BB over 64.1 innings. The right-hander should serve as the primary setup man to Seranthony Dominguez, who the White Sox signed this winter to serve as their closer.
