2024 Fantasy Outlook
Vivas put together a strong showing in his first opportunity at the Double-A level last season, slashing .280/.391/.436 with 12 homers, 54 RBI and 24 stolen bases over 488 plate appearances. He parlayed that performance into a promotion to Triple-A in late August but didn't fare as well at the higher level, posting a .633 OPS across 121 plate appearances. Overall, the Venezuelan infielder's 13 long balls last year were right in line with what he produced in his first two full minor-league seasons, but his 25 thefts were a nice uptick after he stole just 10 bases over the previous two campaigns. However, Vivas has just average speed and doesn't seem likely to be a prolific base-stealer in the majors. He probably won't be big on power, either, so his ability to stick will likely come down to his hit tool and contact skills (he's posted an impressive 172:184 BB:K over the past three seasons). If Vivas shows improvement during his second stint in Triple-A, he could make his big-league debut in 2024.
