Cole Young News: Blasts go-ahead homer
Young went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Pirates.
The seventh-inning homer, Young's seventh of the year, proved to be the decisive blow in Seattle's one-run victory. After a hot start to the month, Young had cooled off at the plate coming into Tuesday's matchup -- he'd gone just 3-for-20 in his previous six games. Overall, the second baseman is slashing .253/.319/.372 with 34 runs scored, 37 RBI and two stolen bases across 321 plate appearances this season.
