Enzo Fernandez
25-Year-Old
Chelsea
Premier
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Fernandez ended year three on a high, coming off his best statistical season and helping Chelsea secure a European trophy. He posted a career-best six goals and seven assists, showing clear growth in the attack. He also took a larger role of set pieces, something that seems to change by the game with Chelsea. When pushed forward in the formation, his numbers received a notable boost, but as long as he's a defensive midfielder next to Moises Caicedo, his numbers may never truly pop more than the 13 goal contributions he had last season.
Active defensively in win
Fernandez generated four tackles (three won), five duels won, one clearance and two interceptions in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Algeria.
ANALYSIS
Fernandez didn't do much offensively, but he covered plenty of ground in the middle of the park and racked up excellent numbers defensively. The Chelsea midfielder should continue to have a key role for Argentina in the upcoming matches, but his lack of contributions on offense limits his fantasy upside a bit.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Man City not keen on him?
Manchester City aren't expected to make a summer move for Fernandez, according to Sky Sports.
ANALYSIS
One of the biggest priorities for Manchester City in the 2026/27 season will be to sign a new central midfielder, but they're not expected to entertain a move for Fernandez. The Argentina international is open to leaving Chelsea and wants to join a team that will play in the Champions League in the summer. However, all signs point to City not making an effort for the former Benfica and River Plate star. That could change if Fernandez shines in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, though.
