2025 Fantasy Outlook
Fernandez ended year three on a high, coming off his best statistical season and helping Chelsea secure a European trophy. He posted a career-best six goals and seven assists, showing clear growth in the attack. He also took a larger role of set pieces, something that seems to change by the game with Chelsea. When pushed forward in the formation, his numbers received a notable boost, but as long as he's a defensive midfielder next to Moises Caicedo, his numbers may never truly pop more than the 13 goal contributions he had last season.
Excellent in Tuesday's win
MChelsea
May 19, 2026
Fernandez scored one goal and assisted once from two shots and two chances created in Tuesday's 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur.
ANALYSIS
Fernandez had two moments of brilliance Tuesday and that was enough to hand Chelsea the victory. He scored a long-range goal to open up the scoring in the 18th minute, then provided an impressive assist on Andrey Santos' goal in the 67th minute which doubled the Blues' lead. He now has 14 goal contributions this season, three of which have come in his last two matches. He'll look to end the season strong Sunday at Sunderland.

Suffers potential calf injury
MChelsea
April 18, 2026
Fernandez left Saturday's 1-0 loss to Manchester United with discomfort, and coach Liam Rosenior said "I just saw him in the dressing room - I think it was his calf. I'm hoping it's cramp; he's getting work on it right now because we want him, obviously, fit for Tuesday [against Brighton and Hove Albion]. He ran himself into the ground for the club tonight and I expect nothing different from a man of his stature and quality".

Set to rejoin squad
MChelsea
April 13, 2026
Fernandez is set to rejoin Chelsea's squad on Tuesday after serving his club suspension, according to coach Liam Rosenior, per the BBC. "Any team will miss Enzo. Myself backed by the leadership group and sporting directors made a decision for the long-term of the club. There's nothing personal with Enzo. He will be back with the group on Tuesday. He is a top, top player and a really good guy. Really looking forward to having him back. The hurdle I spoke about. Enzo wanted to have a conversation with the leadership group - the main players of the group - and speak to the players. The time I had the press conference, he hadn't done that yet. He has spoken with me, the leadership group and all of the players and we look forward to welcoming him back."
