2025 Fantasy Outlook
Palmer followed up his breakout campaign with 15 goals and eight assists in 2024/25, though it was a slight dip from the previous season's 22 goals and 11 assists. Notably, that prior production came in 581 fewer minutes, albeit with a ridiculous nine penalties converted (he took one last season). Still just 23 years old, Palmer should remain one of the best fantasy options in the league. Despite Chelsea adding numerous bodies to the attack, it's hard to see Palmer losing starts, keeping his floor higher than most having not dealt with a bad injury the past two years. There is some concern his numbers dropped in the second half of last season, but some of that can be attributed to injuries around him, something that shouldn't be a problem again given Chelsea's summer spending.
Makes bench Wednesday
F/MChelsea
January 28, 2026
Palmer (thigh) is on the bench for Wednesday's clash against Napoli.
ANALYSIS
Palmer is named on the bench after missing the last two matches with a thigh issue sustained following the win against Brentford. He is fit enough to be involved and available for minutes but is not ready to start. Enzo Fernandez starts again in the attacking central role as Palmer continues to manage lingering fitness concerns.

Dealing with minor thigh issue
F/MChelsea
January 21, 2026
Palmer was sidelined Wednesday against Pafos as a precaution after suffering a minor thigh issue during the game against Brentford but has a good chance to be available for Sunday's clash against Crystal Palace, coach Liam Rosenior said in a press conference. "It was precautionary. He felt something really minor in the game against Brentford. It was quite early on so credit to him for playing through it. I don't want to risk any players at this stage, especially players of his quality. He's got a really good chance to be involved and start the game on Sunday, and we will keep preparing him for that."

Not expected to depart soon
F/MChelsea
January 28, 2026
Palmer is considered "untouchable" and isn't expected to leave Chelsea to join Manchester United, according to Sky Sports.
ANALYSIS
Palmer has been linked with a move to Manchester United, but all signs point to Chelsea blocking the deal. If Palmer pushes for a move, though, as he's rumored to be unsettled in London, expect Chelsea to ask for a king's ransom to let the star playmaker leave. Palmer is under contract at Stamford Bridge until the end of the 2032/33 season.
