Brenden Aaronson
25-Year-Old
Leeds United
Premier
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Aaronson had maybe the most consistent season of his career in the Championship last season, scoring nine goals while playing a career-high 3,567 minutes. The attacking midfielder is poised to continue a big role and will hope to have more success than the 2022/23 season when he had one goal and three assists. Aaronson has plenty of upside as an attacking midfielder, but it's somewhat questionable he had just two assists from 73 chances created last season. The minutes should be there for Aaronson since he can play across the attack, but without set pieces, his overall numbers may struggle a bit.
Three shots in loss
Aaronson took three shots (one on goal), created two chances, and sent in one inaccurate cross in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Türkiye. He also committed two fouls and suffered one foul in 77 minutes of action.
ANALYSIS
Aaronson delivered a characteristically industrious performance built on pressing, movement, and relentless effort. While he helped knit together several attacking sequences and nearly found a late equalizer, he couldn't provide the decisive attacking quality needed to change the result. Aaronson will likely resume his role as a substitute in Wednesday's Round of 32 bout with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
