Anthony Gordon
24-Year-Old
Newcastle United
Premier
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Gordon didn't live up to the expectation he set for himself after tallying 11 goals and 10 assists the prior season. He managed six goals and five assists with a split role on set pieces in 2024/25, but an injury derailed his campaign and he didn't have a goal or assist from February on. When healthy, Gordon has production in him, but with Champions League on the slate this season, there's a chance for more rotation in league play, especially after Harvey Barnes produced in Gordon's absence. Still, this Newcastle attack is potent and anyone in the front three has value in fantasy, especially Gordon with set pieces.
Assists winner Tuesday
Gordon assisted once to go with four shots (zero on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Tuesday's 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
ANALYSIS
Gordon set up the match-winning goal Tuesday as he set up Jacob Ramsey's strike in the 68th minute which took the 2-1 lead. It was the only chance he created in the match, and he also recorded four shots, all of which were off target. He added one inaccurate cross and one tackle before he was subbed off in the 88th minute for Will Osula.

Reds leading race
Liverpool are reportedly leading the race to acquire Gordon in the summer, according to CaughtOffside.
ANALYSIS
Gordon has been one of the most consistent players for Newcastle United this season, and it wouldn't be surprising if some of the top clubs in the Premier League decide to come knocking on the door for the England international. Liverpool seem to have gotten ahead of everyone in the race, though. They see Gordon as the ideal replacement in case Mohamed Salah departs the club.
