2025 Fantasy Outlook
Gordon didn't live up to the expectation he set for himself after tallying 11 goals and 10 assists the prior season. He managed six goals and five assists with a split role on set pieces in 2024/25, but an injury derailed his campaign and he didn't have a goal or assist from February on. When healthy, Gordon has production in him, but with Champions League on the slate this season, there's a chance for more rotation in league play, especially after Harvey Barnes produced in Gordon's absence. Still, this Newcastle attack is potent and anyone in the front three has value in fantasy, especially Gordon with set pieces.
Finds bench role
F/MNewcastle United
May 2, 2026
Gordon (hip) is on the bench for Saturday's clash against Brighton.
ANALYSIS
Gordon passed his late fitness assessment after coach Eddie Howe confirmed a decision would be made closer to the game following his partial return to training Wednesday, recovering enough to earn a spot in the squad after missing two consecutive matches with the hip flexor injury. The winger had been in strong form before going down, scoring twice from eight shots across his last four appearances, and even a cameo off the bench would be a significant boost for a Newcastle side that has endured five straight defeats across all competitions.
