Fermin played 28 times (12 starts) last season, maintaining a rotational role in attacking midfield. Like most attacking players on Barcelona, he still produced, totaling six goals and five assists in just over 1,200 minutes. That's almost one contribution per 90 minutes, something that led to more playing time in the second half of the season despite Dani Olmo also being healthy. It's unlikely that he takes a full-time starting role barring a plethora of injuries, but even in a bench role, Fermin has the talent to be a consistently productive option in attacking midfield.
