Jordan Henderson Injury: Suffers wrist injury
Henderson (wrist) was taken to hospital after slipping while vaulting over pitchside advertising boards during England's post-match celebrations following the 3-2 round of 16 victory over Mexico, according to coach Thomas Tuchel, per Luke Bosher of The Athletic. "Jordan just fell over and injured his wrist. It looks really bad. I'm sad because Jordan injured his wrist. It's quite serious. He's in hospital. It doesn't fit with the rest of the evening. I don't know the procedure."
Henderson had featured only once during England's five World Cup matches, coming off the bench in the 2-0 group stage win over Panama, and will now be assessed to determine the severity of the injury and whether he can continue at the tournament. England advance to the quarter-finals where they will face Norway in Miami next Saturday.
