Raul Rosas
El Nino Problemo

Mexico
Grappling leads to easy win
Rosas defeated Rob Font via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC 326 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was a weird fight. On the surface, it looks like Rosas couldn't have been any more dominant. He landed 16-of-18 takedown attempts, good for 10:05 worth of control time. That said, Rosas was credited with all of eight significant strikes landed. That is not a misprint. Despite 16 successful takedowns, Font won the significant strike battle by a 10-8 count. Raul's entire game is about pace and wrestling. He does nothing with his positional advantages and his striking has always been below average. It hasn't really hurt him yet and Rosas won't turn 22 years of age until October, but sooner or later this skill set is going to be an issue is Rosas doesn't continue to evolve his game.

Scheduled against Font
Rosas (undisclosed) is scheduled to compete against fellow bantamweight Rob Font at UFC 326 in Las Vegas on March 7, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Rosas-Font was initially scheduled for UFC Noche on Sept. 13 before the former withdrew due to an undisclosed problem. The fight has a little less luster than before because Rosas' replacement David Martinez subsequently outlasted Font during their fight. Still, defeating Font would not only improve Rosas' win streak to five but also lock in the UFC's bantamweight rankings.

Off of Noche UFC card
Rosas (undisclosed) is out of his scheduled matchup against Rob Font at Noche UFC on Sept. 13, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
No specific reason was provided for the withdrawal of Rosas, who had been looking to extend his winning streak to five with a big step up in competition. Instead, the UFC will feature a matchup between Font and David Martinez on the San Antonio-based card.

Seeking fifth straight win
Rosas will take on Rob Font in a bantamweight bout at Noche UFC in San Antonio on September 13, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Rosas topped Vince Morales via unanimous decision in late March to earn his fourth straight win in the UFC. He'll go for five in a row against a more experienced fighter in Font. Font is also on something of a winning streak, having won his last two bouts. Rosas, however, at age 20, is significantly younger than his 38-year-old opponent, and appears to really be hitting his stride in the UFC.

Secures fourth straight win
Rosas defeated Vince Morales via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
It was a typical Rosas performance on multiple fronts. His striking continues to improve, but his success is entirely reliant on his grappling game. Rosas landed 4-of-8 takedowns for 9:38 worth of control time, but his positioning on the ground remains a work in progress, and that allowed Morales to clamp on a pair of deep submission attempts. Rosas survived, but there were some hairy moments on the way to the victory. The winner of four fights in a row and five of his six in the UFC, Rosas won't turn 21 years of age until October. All that matters is that he remains healthy and continues to get reps inside the Octagon.

Taking on Morales
Rosas will take on Vince Morales in a bantamweight bout at UFC Mexico on March 29, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Rosas will be looking to build off what's been a very impressive start to his UFC career. He's currently sitting at 4-1 in the promotion, winning his last three bouts. Even more impressive is the fact that he's only 20, and made his UFC debut when he was 18. His opponent Morales, meanwhile, has struggled recently, losing two straight to drop his UFC record to 3-7.
