Snaps brief losing streak
MiddleweightUFC
April 11, 2026
Holland defeated Randy Brown via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC 327 on Saturday in Miami.
ANALYSIS
It ended up being an easy night at the office for Holland, who snapped a two-fight losing streak in the process. He pulled ahead in the early going by damaging Brown with leg kicks. Holland essentially put the fight away in Round 2 with his grappling game, and although Brown was able to survive multiple deep choke attempts, all the defending left him gassed and allowed Kevin to cruise to the unanimous decision win. Even with the win here, Holland is still just 4-6 in his past 10 fights. He's more of an attraction than legitimate contender at this point.

Booked against Brown
MiddleweightUFC
February 10, 2026
Holland will fight Randy Brown at UFC 327 on April 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The 33-year-old lost his most recent bout against Mike Malott and posted a 2-3 record in 2025. Although Holland doesn't have much positive momentum working in his favor, he will have a three-inch reach advantage over Brown, who has split his last four fights.
Struggles continue in Vancouver
MiddleweightUFC
October 18, 2025
Holland lost to Mike Malott via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Vancouver.
ANALYSIS
It wouldn't be a Holland fight without something strange happening. In this case, he absorbed two low blows in Round 1, the second of which forced him to take the full five minutes to recover. Holland ultimately decided he could continue but limped to the end of the frame. Clearly still laboring, he was asked again by the doctor at the start of Round 2 if he was good to go. Holland never actually answered and the fight should have been stopped, but it was allowed to continue again. The end result was Holland dropping the final two frames and a 29-28 decision. Kevin has lost two straight, four of six, and six of nine. He's due some time off, even if he hates to stay on the sidelines.
Next bout booked
MiddleweightUFC
August 19, 2025
Holland will face Mike Malott in a middleweight bout at UFC Vancouver on Oct. 18, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Holland is coming off a loss to Daniel Rodriguez back in July, one that dropped his UFC record to 15-11. The middleweight has a significant experience advantage on his next opponent Malott, but the latter is off to an excellent start to his UFC career with a 5-1 record.
Crushing defeat in New Orleans
MiddleweightUFC
July 19, 2025
Holland lost to Daniel Rodriguez via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC 318 on Saturday in New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
This is the risk you run when you are willing to step into the Octagon against any opponent at any time. Holland had less than nothing to gain from a rankings standpoint in this fight, and now he's going to have to try to work his way back from a crushing defeat. For what it's worth, Holland was down two rounds and had no business working his way back into the fight. On the flip side, he had Rodriguez hurt so badly in Round 3 that he probably could/should have earned the stoppage win if he just displayed a bit better fight IQ and didn't disengaged his opponent. Holland also could have been looking at a 10-8 score in the final frame and possibly a draw, although D-Rod made a huge late push to end in a dominant position and eliminate that possibility. The bottom line is that Holland can't be losing as a -600 favorite against anyone, especially at welterweight, his preferred and most effective weight class.
New challenger scheduled

ANALYSIS

Both fighters will be looking to extend their win streak.
