Bolanos will not fight Jeong Yeong Lee at UFC 326 on Saturday, according to Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
ANALYSIS
Bolanos looked ready to go, but Lee cited "weight management" as the primary problem on why he withdrew from UFC 326. He will have to wait for another chance to redeem himself from losing to Quang Le back in May of 2025.

No-shows Des Moines loss

Bolanos lost to Quang Le via technical submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:54 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa.
ANALYSIS
It was a total no-show from Bolanos in a fight in which he somehow entered as a -130 favorite. Gaston probably had a striking advantage here. Too bad we'll never know, because he had less than no answers for the grappling game of Le. He allowed four takedowns and 5:46 worth of control time in the brief bout, choosing to go to sleep midway through Round 2 as opposed to tapping out. Any good will Bolanos may have built up with his unanimous decision win over Cortavious Romious in November is completely gone after this performance. He falls to 2-2 in his first four UFC bouts.

Bolanos will take on Quang Le on a May 3 UFC bout at Wells Fargo Arena, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Bolanos owns an 8-4 record as a pro and has gone 2-1 at the UFC level. His most recent bout finished in a win by unanimous decision against Cortavious Romious, who entered that matchup with a 9-2 record. This will be Bolanos' first fight of the year.
Gets right back in win column

Bolanos defeated Cortavious Romious via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Bolanos deserved to win this fight on the strength of landing the much bigger blows, but it was far from a flawless effort. He allowed Romious to connect on 4-of-6 takedown attempts, good for 6:13 worth of control time. Luckily for Gaston, he picked up a couple takedowns of his own and closed with an 80-30 edge in terms of total strikes landed. Bolanos is a quality striker with some grit and durability to his game. The grappling remains a work in progress, but with wins in two of his first three UFC bouts, the roster spot of the long-term Bellator veteran is plenty secure.
