Hangs tough in debut loss
FeatherweightUFC
April 4, 2026
Hope lost to Kai Kamaka via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This fight got made just a couple days ago, with Hope making his UFC debut and Kamaka returning for his second stint with the company. Both guys looked great in what was a highly entertaining bout. Hope started quickly, landing a Round 1 knockdown and nearly earning the stoppage. He faded some as the fight progressed, but things were close enough that either man could have been awarded the decision and it would have been seen as perfectly justified. Hope is a lock to get another opportunity with the company following this strong debut.
