Drops competitive decision in OKC
Bashi lost to Jose Delgado via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
There's absolutely a case to be made that Bashi deserved a better fate. At a minimum, it's very surprising all three judges scored the fight for Delgado. The fight was competitive throughout, with Bashi predictably attempting to lean on his grappling. He wasn't all that successful in that area, landing just 3-of-14 takedowns for 3:10 worth of control time. On a more positive note, Bashi did better on the feet than was expected. The 24-year-old Michigan native was viewed as a top prospect at 145 pounds upon his January 2025 company arrival, but he's since gone on to lose two of three fights with the company. The good news is that Bashi is young enough to expect legitimate improvements every single time he steps into the octagon.

Set to take on Delgado
Bashi will face Jose Delgado in a featherweight bout at UFC OKC on July 18, Marcel Dorff of Heavy on Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Bashi was expected to face Jamall Emmers at UFC Vegas 111 last year, but the fight didn't go through. If this fight goes as expected, Bashi would be stepping into the octagon for the first time in 2026 while owning a 1-1 record at the UFC level.

Not fighting Emmers
Bashi will not face Jamall Emmers at UFC Vegas 111 on Nov. 8, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Bashi is tending to an unspecified injury, which will prevent him from facing Emmers. It's unclear when Bashi will be healthy enough to fight, and a replacement has yet to be named.

Bounces back with early sub
Bashi defeated John Yannis via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:39 of Round 1 at UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Bashi entered this matchup as a betting favorite upwards of (-1150), by far the largest on the entire card, going up against an opponent who was making his UFC debut on roughly one week's notice. The end result was as anticipated. Bashi didn't absorb a single significant strike in this matchup. He landed a big hook early that eventually led to a single-leg takedown. Bashi then took Yannis' back, secured the body triangle, and Yannis was tapping moments later. It's a great bounce-back effort from Bashi, who was coming off his first career loss against Christian Rodriguez back in January. Perhaps the UFC will now look to re-book him against Francis Marshall, his originally-scheduled opponent.

Now facing Yannis
Bashi will take on John Yannis in a featherweight bout at UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Bashi was initially slated to face Francis Marshall, but that fight was called off due to an issue in Marshall's end. Instead of being scrapped from the card, however, Bashi will get a replacement opponent in Yannis, a fighter with an 8-3 pro record set to make his UFC debut.
