Takedown defense again absent
StrawweightUFC
March 14, 2026
Lemos lost to Gillian Robertson via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
For a second fight in a row, Lemos' chances of winning were torpedoed by her inability to defend a takedown. It happened against Tatiana Suarez in September and again this evening against Robertson. Lemos was predictably the much more effective fighter on the feet, closing with a 42-12 edge in significant strikes landed, but she allowed Robertson to turn three successful takedowns into 9:17 worth of control time. Amanda was upright for less than three minutes combined in the final two rounds, and it's all but impossible to win a three-round decision that way. The Brazilian will be 39 years of age in May and is just 1-3 in her past four fights dating back to July 2024.

Filling in for Lucindo
StrawweightUFC
October 31, 2025
Lemos will fight Gillian Robertson at UFC Vegas 114 on Mar. 14, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Lemos will be replacing Iasmin Lucindo, who withdrew from the fight for undisclosed reasons. Lemos dropped her most recent bout against Tatiana Suarez in September -- her second loss in three fights -- and will now be tasked with bouncing back against an opponent who has won four straight.
Can't defend takedown in loss
StrawweightUFC
September 13, 2025
Lemos lost to Tatiana Suarez via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Noche on Saturday in San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Lemos had difficulty defending takedowns in the early part of her UFC run, so going up against an Olympic-level wrestler at age 38 was a recipe for potential disaster. The Brazilian actually did a decent job, stuffing 9-of-12 takedown attempts from Suarez, but the 9:34 worth of control time ensured it would be nearly impossible for Lemos to win a decision. The fact that she took Round 3 on all three scorecards ended up not being enough. Lemos has alternated losses and wins in her past six fights dating back to November 2022, and she seems destined to hover around the .500 mark moving forward.
Taking on Suarez in September
StrawweightUFC
July 22, 2025
Lemos will fight Tatiana Suarez at Noche UFC on Sep. 13, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The 5-foot-4 Brazilian will look to win back-to-back fights for the first time since 2022 as she comes off a win versus Iasmin Lucindo back in March. Lemos is 2-2 in her last four matches which includes a loss in a title fight in 2023. She'll take on another title-match hopeful against Suarez, who lost the strawweight championship this past February.
Takes snoozer in Vegas
StrawweightUFC
March 8, 2025
Lemos defeated Iasmin Lucindo via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 313 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Lemos entered as a +120 underdog and a loser of two of her past three bouts, so all she cared about was picking up a win by any means necessary. She did that in what was by far the most boring fight of the evening. Lemos closed with a 12-4 edge in significant strikes landed. In 15 minutes, the two women combined for 16 significant strikes. Amanda did land 3-of-5 takedowns for 7:58 worth of control time, but most of that was simply her using her upper-body strength to dominate positions. Neither combatant absorbed any real damage. Lemos, who will be 38 years of age in May, improves to 3-3 in her past half-dozen bouts.
Lucindo up next
StrawweightUFC
December 10, 2024
Lemos will fight Iasmin Lucindo at UFC 313 on March 8, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
A loss to Virna Jandiroba in July puts Lemos at 1-2 over her last three bouts, giving a significant momentum advantage to her next opponent, who has won four straight fights.
