2026 Fantasy Outlook
It's hard to believe it took 164 starts for Fleetwood to win on the PGA Tour, but he certainly picked a pretty good week to do it. After coming so close at the first two legs of the FedExCup Playoffs, Fleetwood would not be denied at the TOUR Championship. He turned in the best putting week of his career to win the 2025 FedExCup. That has to be such a huge weight off the Englishman's back and could potentially open the floodgates to many more wins over the coming years, and maybe even a major championship. Fleetwood also cleaned up in the fall on the DP World Tour winning in India, finishing runner-up in Abu Dhabi and closing it out T3 in Dubai. Fleetwood will turn 35 in 2026, and given the makeup of his game, it's hard to see him falling off anytime soon. Another $18 million season is probably asking a lot, but he has to be one of the top fantasy picks in any format next season. Read Past Outlooks
Poor putting performance at API
Fleetwood carded a one-over 73 during the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational to finish in 49th place.
ANALYSIS
In a week where excellent ball striking and consistent tee to green play is vital to performing well, Fleetwood came into the Arnold Palmer Invitational as one of the favorites. However, Fleetwood left Sunday puzzled after finishing in 49th place. For the week, Fleetwood really struggled with the fast, table-top greens at Bay Hill after he lost 5.32 strokes to the field in SG: Putting, ranking 69th in the field. Fleetwood also had a surprisingly poor outing with his ball striking as he lost 2.04 strokes in SG: Approach and 1.9 strokes in SG: Off the Tee. Even on what is considered one of the more difficult courses on tour, Fleetwood normally is able to overcome such challenging tests with his consistent play. I think we can chalk this performance up as an outlier for Fleetwood, and look for him to get back to contending for trophies as he travels to TPC Sawgrass for the Players Championship.

It seems almost impossible that Fleetwood has still not yet won a PGA Tour event. He's won seven times on the DP World Tour and been in the mix at a number of majors, but has never yet been able to get over the hump on the PGA Tour. It was perhaps fitting that Fleetwood would win the silver medal at the Paris Olympics. The stats were pretty solid across the board in 2024 for Fleetwood gaining strokes in every category and ranking 37th in SG: Total, but that was down from the previous season when he was 14th in SG: Total. Fleetwood is a very consistent player who is always going to be a pretty safe bet in salary cap leagues, but he does lack the upside of some other equally talented players because he just hasn't won. Maybe that changes in 2025.
