Tom Kim

23-Year-Old Golfer
2026 Fantasy Outlook
It's difficult to find many golfers whose stock took at much of a hit as Kim's did in 2025. He managed just three top-25s and a best result of T7 across 26 starts to finish 105th on the points list, but he'll still have full status having won twice in the 2022-23 season. The ball-striking numbers were quite alarming for the 23-year-old, as he ranked outside of the top 100 in distance and accuracy, 142nd in SG: Off-the-Tee and 167th in GIR. The bright side is that the short game is still in good shape, he's very young and has shown a high ceiling with four Tour wins and mulitple top-10s in majors. With that said, Kim has given fantasy players plenty of reasons to be pessimistic that he's suddenly going to find things again in 2026. Read Past Outlooks
Third in scrambling at TPC Toronto
June 15, 2026
Kim fired a four-under 66 on Sunday at the RBC Canadian Open to finish 10-under and tied for 15th.
ANALYSIS
Kim ranked second among the field in total feet of putts made during Sunday's final round at TPC Toronto, while also converting all six of his scrambling opportunities en route to the bogey-free 66. He's now gained an average of 4.18 strokes on approach per event throughout his last four starts, rising to 98th in the FedExCup standings in the process. Kim will tee it up again this week at the U.S. Open where he's placed T33-T26-T8-23 in four prior appearances at the major championship.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
2023
After racking up nearly $8 million in the 2022-23 season, Kim barely topped $4 million in the 2024 campaign and failed to reach the top-50 in the FedExCup. That means he is not going to be exempt for all of the Signature Events in 2025, but he's got a good chance to play his way in or receive an invite from a sponsor. Kim had just two top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour last season, a T4 at the RBC Canadian Open and a runner-up at the Travelers Championship. The 22-year-old had largely similar SG: Off-the-Tee and SG: Around-the-Green rankings the last two seasons, but he was significantly off in both SG: Approach and SG: Putting in 2024. Expect Kim to bounce back and find better results in 2025.
Kim secured two wins in 2022-23, both at the Shriners Children's Open. He also impressed with a T8 at the U.S. Open and T2 at the Open Championship. The 21-year-old might not have the ideal length to be one of the top players in the world, but he has proven hil ability bto make up for it with the irons and on the greens. Kim was 10th in SG: Approach and 21st in Putts per GIR last season. He is not afraid to play a ton of events and has been consistently in the mix with a 55 percent top-25 rate. Expect to see a similar season in 2024.
Kim burst on the scene this summer as a 20-year-old. He was a standout at the Scottish Open finishing solo third and then a few weeks later became the second-youngest winner on the PGA Tour since WWII with his victory at the Wyndham Championship. Kim would unfortunately just miss out on the Tour Championship, but there is so much potential here to tap into here when he gets a full season on the PGA Tour. He is a fairways and greens machine who would have graded top-20 if he had enough rounds in key categories like SG: Approach, SG: Tee-to-Green, birdie average and scoring average.
