2026 Fantasy Outlook
Scheffler is coming off another incredible season. Things got off to a rocky start as he missed the first month due to a hand injury he sustained while cooking on Christmas. He had some strong showings in his first few weeks back, but would not return in the win column until early May at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson. There was no looking back after that, however, as Scheffler would add victories at the PGA Championship, the Memorial Tournament, The Open Championship and the BMW Championship before adding a fall victory at the Procore Championship for good measure. Scheffler now has run up his major tally to four and his PGA Tour wins tally to 19. He has made at least $21 million each of the last three seasons in official earnings. No other player has made more than $19 million in that same time span. Scheffler is the undisputed best player in golf and it's not particularly close. Anything less than a 5+ win campaign with a major would probably be a disappointment to Scheffler. Read Past Outlooks
Solo third in CJ CUP defense
Scheffler carded a bogey-free, six-under 65 in the final round of THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson to finish solo third.
ANALYSIS
Scheffler entered the tournament as the defending champion after breaking the event record with a 31-under cumulative score in 2025. It was another birdie-fest at TPC Craig Ranch despite renovations made to the course to increase its difficulty, and Scheffler was two strokes back of Kim for the clubhouse lead heading into Sunday. Scheffler did enough to keep up with Kim, but both were blown out of the water by Clark, who surged past the final pairing with an 11-under 60 score to capture his fourth PGA Tour win. He has finished in the top-3 in fourth of his last five tournaments, including his runner-up performance at The Masters in April. The good news for the World No. 1 is that his putting game was much better this week than it was at the PGA Championship, as he finished eighth in SG: Putting. He led the field in both GIR and scrambling while ranking sixth in SG: Approach, T9 in birdies and 13th in SG: Off-the-Tee. Scheffler also posted just one bogey for the tournament, which was best in the event. He's back atop the FedExCup Standings and won't participate in next week's Charles Schwab Challenge, but he will likely be in the field for the Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio that starts June 4.

Simply put Scheffler had one of the greatest PGA Tour seasons we have ever seen racking up nearly $30 million highlighted by his seven victories, including a second Masters title. Scheffler topped about every important stat you can think of including scoring average, SG: Total and birdie average. A big key to his success in 2024 was his improvement on the greens over the season prior when he won only twice and ranked 162nd in SG: Putting. The ball-striking was largerly the same in 2024, but his SG: Putting rank went up to 77th. If Scheffler putts well almost nobody is going to beat him. That being said, it would be foolish to project Scheffler to break his own record for earnings in a season in 2025, but another multi-win season seems almost inevitable.
