2026 Fantasy Outlook
Scheffler is coming off another incredible season. Things got off to a rocky start as he missed the first month due to a hand injury he sustained while cooking on Christmas. He had some strong showings in his first few weeks back, but would not return in the win column until early May at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson. There was no looking back after that, however, as Scheffler would add victories at the PGA Championship, the Memorial Tournament, The Open Championship and the BMW Championship before adding a fall victory at the Procore Championship for good measure. Scheffler now has run up his major tally to four and his PGA Tour wins tally to 19. He has made at least $21 million each of the last three seasons in official earnings. No other player has made more than $19 million in that same time span. Scheffler is the undisputed best player in golf and it's not particularly close. Anything less than a 5+ win campaign with a major would probably be a disappointment to Scheffler. Read Past Outlooks
Yet another runner-up finish
Scheffler fired a four-under 68 in the final round of the Cadillac Championship to finish as runner-up and six strokes behind winner Cameron Young.
ANALYSIS
As has been the case several times this season, Scheffler got off to a slow start with a one-under 71. He worked his way up the leaderboard over the next two rounds, going eight-under over that span with just two bogeys, but he entered Sunday six strokes back of Young. Scheffler was even on the front nine of the final round but caught on fire on the back with a four-under score, including three-straight birdies from holes 15 to 17, but his deficit to Young was far too much for the World No. 1 to overcome. Scheffler has finished as the tournament runner-up in three consecutive outings, including a one-stroke loss to Rory McIlroy at The Masters and a playoff defeat to Matt Fitzpatrick at the RBC Heritage two weeks ago. Scheffler has seven top-5 finishes under his belt this season (including a victory at The American Express in January) and sits atop the FedExCup Standings, though he's barely ahead of Fitzpatrick and Young. Scheffler is not in the field for next week's Truist Championship, so the next time we'll see him is at the PGA Championship in two weeks time, a major he won by five strokes last year.

Simply put Scheffler had one of the greatest PGA Tour seasons we have ever seen racking up nearly $30 million highlighted by his seven victories, including a second Masters title. Scheffler topped about every important stat you can think of including scoring average, SG: Total and birdie average. A big key to his success in 2024 was his improvement on the greens over the season prior when he won only twice and ranked 162nd in SG: Putting. The ball-striking was largerly the same in 2024, but his SG: Putting rank went up to 77th. If Scheffler putts well almost nobody is going to beat him. That being said, it would be foolish to project Scheffler to break his own record for earnings in a season in 2025, but another multi-win season seems almost inevitable.
