2026 Fantasy Outlook
Coming over from the Japan Tour and DP World Tour, Hisatsune has done a good job adapting his game to the states to keep his card for a third season. That's not easy to accomplish for someone that's only 23-years-old, although that's not to say he hasn't had his share of ups-and-downs. Hisatsune had three reults of T6 or better through a two-month stretch in the spring, but he's also trending downward having finished the year with a lone top-25 across his final 14 events. Statisically, he doesn't jump out in any area and has been a poor putter. His age is the main appeal, but Hisatsune will likely have to battle to retain his card on a yearly basis. Read Past Outlooks
Logs first top-10 since April
July 5, 2026
Hisatsune posted a 16-under cumulative score at the John Deere Classic to finish tied with Zach Johnson and Zac Blair for ninth.
ANALYSIS
Hisatsune entered the final round in the top-10 of the leaderboard, and he maintained that spot after a four-under 67 score with five birdies and a bogey. He did a little bit of everything at TPC Deere Run, ranking T10 in birdies made, 14th in driving distance and in the top-25 SG: Off-the-Tee, Around and Putting. It was the fifth top-10 finish of the season for Hisatsune and his first since his T8 at the Valero Texas Open. He's also made the cut in 19-straight tournaments, with his lone MC this season coming in his 2026 debut at the Sony Open in mid-January. Hisatsune is not listed in the field for the ISCO Championship nor the Genesis Scottish Open next week.

2025
2024
Hisatsune was unable to carry the momentum from a successful 2023 into 2024, as he managed just one top-10 all year and struggled in four starts on the DP World Tour as well. With driving play being a key factor on Tour, Hisatsune ranked outside the top-125 in both driving distance and accuracy, which certainly isn't a recipe for success. To his credit, he was able to make 17-of-27 cuts with his putting and long-iron play being the strengths of his game. At just 22-years-old, there's plenty of time for Hisatsune to continue to develop all aspects of his game, but his overall play still leaves much to be desired.
Hisatsune was the Rookie of the Year on the DP World Tour in 2023 after he put together a very impressive season at age 21 that included 16 top-25 finishes and a win at the Cazoo Open de France. Hisatsune was the 10th and final qualifier for a PGA Tour card via Race to Dubai standings. He actually had four starts on the PGA Tour in 2022-23 and finished top-12 in three of them. There is certainly a lot of upside here as Hisatsune ranked 12th in scoring average and eighth in SG: Total on the DPWT. It's stil questionable whether or not those type of results will come in 2024, however.
