2026 Fantasy Outlook
After making over $5 million in 2024, Pavon could not get off the ground in 2025. He did not record a single top-25 finish last season while also missing 10 cuts in 26 starts. Pavon is still fully exempt in 2026 thanks to his victory at the 2024 Farmers Insurance Open, but he will need to perform far better in virtually every strokes gained category if he is going to retain his card for 2027. 2025
2024
Pavon got off to a blazing start to his PGA Tour career after earning a card via the Race to Dubai. He won the Farmers Insurance Open in January which came right in the middle of three top-10s in a four-start stretch. While it was pretty spotty through the rest of the year, the Frenchman did post a T12 at the Masters and then a 5th at the U.S. Open. Pavon ranked 110th on the PGA Tour last season in SG: Total, which is certainly a concern because it's hard to rely on a couple good finishes carrying you form an earnings perspective. The bigget area for him to improve would be short game as he ranked 178th in SG: Around-the-Green.
It took some time but Pavon was able to notch his first win on the DP World Tour late in 2023 at the Open de Espana by four strokes. It was part of a strong late-season run that included five top-15 finishes in his final six starts to lock up a PGA Tour card in 2024. Pavon has not played in many big events with his lone made cut at a major being a T25 at the 2018 U.S. Open. The Frenchman ranked top-15 on the DPWT in both SG: Total and scoring average, but will likely need to make some strides with his ball-striking to be competitive on the PGA Tour in 2024.
