2026 Fantasy Outlook
A T4 in the season-ending RSM Classic moved Hodges up to 101st on the points list, leaving him one spot away from having full status in 2026. It was his only top-35 finish across his last 10 starts of the year and a disappointing finish after he posted a T11 or better in three of his first six starts to begin the year. The four-year Tour member has lost some distance over the last couple of years but ranked 23rd in SG: Approach and gained shots around the green and putting. He figures to be one of the best players on the Korn Ferry Tour when he doesn't get into PGA Tour events. Read Past Outlooks
Share of third at JDC
July 5, 2026
Hodges carded a two-under 69 in the final round of the John Deere Classic to finish the tournament tied with Lucas Glover and Ben Kohles for third.
ANALYSIS
Hodges opened the tournament nicely with a seven-under 64 on Thursday, when he went five-under on the back nine. He found himself tied with Glover at the top of the table heading into Sunday at 16-under, and both players posted birdies on second and third hole of the final round. However, Hodges was unable to gain any ground the rest of the day, and he was surpassed by both Max Homa and eventual winner Chris Gotterup. Hodges was the best putter at TPC Deere Run, gaining a whopping 8.93 strokes on the green. He also led the field with 25 birdies while ranking 13th in SG: Off-the-Tee and T16 in driving accuracy, though he also finished 61st in SG: Approach. It was the best finish of the season for Hodges and his first top-10 finish since his T6 at The Sony Open in mid-January. He'll tee off at the ISCO Championship next week.

Hodges did just enough during his rookie season of 2022 to secure his card for the following season, but in his second season, he left nothing to chance by winning the 3M Open in July. In total, he captured 10 top-25s and three top-10s on his way to over $3 million in earnings. It was a perfect springboard to season three, except he failed to get much lift in his third season. Though he played better than in his rookie season, Hodges failed to crack the top-70 and made less than $2.5 million this past season. Perhaps it was a hangover from his win the previous season and a lack of urgency, but whatever the case, this season will go a long way to determining what kind of golfer Hodges will be moving forward. Hodges may have punched above his weight in his second season and as such, he'll likely come in closer to his 2024 numbers this season than his 2023 numbers.
Through two seasons on the PGA Tour, Hodges hasn't shown much consistency, but every once in a while he pops up for a big showing. That big showing this past year came at the 3M Open where he picked up his first PGA Tour win. That win propelled him to nearly $4 million in earnings and a top-50 spot on the FedEx list. Hodges will need to play better against better competition this season in order to improve upon his numbers from this past season and there's no guarantee that he will. As such, he's a risky salary cap option this season.
Hodges' rookie season on Tour included a pair of top-10s against weaker fields and was mostly unspectacular. He did a good job of making cuts (18-of-29), but he doesn't stand out in any facet of the game. If he can improve his putting (162nd) there's room for slight improvement but it's hard to envision the upside for much more than that.
Hodges collected a couple of top-15 results at the PGA Tour's Puerto Rico Open and the Barracuda Championship, but the highlight of his 2020-21 campaign came on the Korn Ferry Tour when he won the WinCo Foods Portland Open last August. Hodges made the cut in more than 30 of his 37 starts on the KFT, tallying nine top-10s in the process. He was fifth in the all-around ranking, eighth in putting average and sixth in birdie or better percentage.
Hodges took home the title at the Korn Ferry Tour's 2020 WinCo Foods Portland Open in early August to put the cherry on top of a successful KFT campaign that included five top-10s to just two missed cuts. He ranked top 5 among his peers in GIR percentage, ball striking and par-4 scoring average while also collecting the sixth-most birdies throughout the season. Hodges has made one career appearance at the PGA Tour level, tying for 54th at the 2018 RSM Classic.
