2024 Fantasy Outlook
The Vikings made Reichard the first kicker selected in the 2024 NFL Draft (sixth round, 203rd overall), though Joshua Karty and Cam Little then came off the board within the next 10 picks. Reichard was a five-year contributor and four-year starter at Alabama, where he converted 84.0 percent of his field-goal attempts and 99.3 percent of PATs. He was even better over his final two seasons -- 86.3 percent on FGs, 100 percent on PATs -- and should now be the favorite in a camp battle with former XFL kicker John Parker Romo. The winner will be attached to a talented offense, albeit one that could be undone by poor QB play if first-round pick J.J. McCarthy either fails to win the starting job or eventually proves unworthy of it. Read Past Outlooks
Set for MRI on Monday
Reichard will undergo an MRI on his right quadricep Monday, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Reichard missed a pair of field-goal attempts in Sunday's 21-13 win over the Colts after straining his right quad at some point in the first half. The kicker was already dealing with soreness heading into the game, and Monday's MRI will provide more clarity on his status moving forward.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Leading kicking competition
Reichard was Minnesota's most consistent kicker throughout OTAs and minicamp, according to Alec Lewis of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Per Lewis, Reichard "was everything the Vikings hoped he'd be this spring - and then some." Reichard doesn't have as strong of a leg as John Parker Romo, but the former's consistency has him leading Minnesota's kicking competition heading into training camp. If Reichard continues to impress, the Vikings may not feel the need to bring in additional competition despite the rookie sixth-round draft pick's lack of experience.
