Positive injury update
San Francisco general manager John Lynch said Sunday at the NFL's league meetings that he expects Bosa (knee) to be ready for training camp, David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports
ANALYSIS
Bosa suffered a torn right ACL during Week 3 last season and underwent successful surgery in late September. The 28-year-old has been trending in a positive direction since the beginning of the offseason, and it would be a significant boost for San Francisco's defense if he's ready to go for Week 1 of the 2026 regular season. In the four seasons before 2025, Bosa logged 53.5 sacks over 64 regular-season games.

Bosa has been remarkably consistent throughout his five-year career. In four full seasons, he's played between 713 and 798 defensive snaps and come away with between 47 and 53 total tackles. More uncharacteristic from the 2023 season was his lack of pass-rush production, as he finished with only 10.5 sacks and a relatively muted 19 percent pass-rush win rate. The explanation is fairly straightforward, however, as he was third in the league in his rate of being double teamed. In response, the 49ers signed Leonard Floyd to a multi-year deal this offseason, which should help keep attention away from Bosa a bit more in 2024. He should be back in the conversation for sack leader once again, keeping him in the conversation as one of the most elite fantasy options along the defensive line.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Restructures contract with Niners
Bosa and the 49ers agreed to a restructured contract Saturday that will free up $17.17 million in cap space for San Francisco in 2026, Noah Furtado of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
The Niners freed up that space by converting $21.4 million of Bosa's salary into a signing bonus, though it means that his cap hit for 2027 now sits at $56.3 million. The move gives the 49ers more options in free agency, and they'll likely use it to bring in a pass rusher after Bryce Huff retired Thursday, coupled with the departures of both Yetur Gross-Matos and Clelin Ferrell. Bosa is recovering from a torn ACL that he sustained in late September but is aiming to be available for the start of training camp.
