Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
Huff both underperformed and was misused at times during his flameout 2024 campaign with Philadelphia, forcing the team to trade the LB for pennies on the dollar to San Francisco this offseason. The pass-rush specialist saw his sack total decline from 10 to 2.5 following his move from the Jets to the Eagles the prior offseason. Both Huff and the 49ers are hoping to rediscover that 2023 form that was a menace to opposing defenses under returning defensive coordinator Robert Saleh.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Cut candidate if no restructure
Huff would likely be cut by the 49ers in the offseason if the two sides don't agree on a restructured contract, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Huff was acquired by the 49ers in June, one year after signing a three-year, $51.1 million contract extension with the Eagles. He tallied 4.0 sacks through the first seven games of the 2025 regular season but did not record another thereafter, which Barrows believes is not enough production for the 49ers to justify paying the veteran edge rusher $17 million in 2026. Pass rushing is a need that the Niners need to address this offseason, so it's possible that Huff sticks around in the Bay Area under a more team-friendly deal.
