2025 Fantasy Outlook
Even with the depth of the Eagles' defense, Carter emerged as a near every-down player in 2024. He lined up primarily as a defensive tackle and his biggest impact was the ability to draw double teams to free up other key pass rushers such as Josh Sweat, Milton Williams and Nolan Smith. That isn't to say he didn't make a statistical impact of his own, increasing his total tackles and quarterback pressures (jump from 50 to 75, per PFF) relative to his rookie season. Given his fit in Philadelphia's scheme, it's fair to question whether Carter's fantasy impact will ever match that of his impact on the field. However, his ability to get to the quarterback suggests there's more sack production in his future. Read Past Outlooks
Totals 3.0 sacks in Year 3
Carter played 12 regular-season games during the 2025 campaign, recording 33 tackles (21 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and seven passes defended.
ANALYSIS
Carter appeared in 12 regular-season games, but he was ejected before playing a defensive snap during the Week 1 win over Dallas. The 24-year-old added three tackles, including 1.0 sack, during Philadelphia's loss to the 49ers in the wild-card round. Carter also earned Pro-Bowl honors for the second year in a row. He could be in line for a significant contract extension ahead of the 2026 season.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Carter fell to ninth in the 2023 NFL Draft, where the Eagles were happy to add him to their group of young Georgia defenders. He started just a single game as a rookie but had a significant enough rotation role (48 percent of defensive snaps) to show off his talent, finishing second in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting. Carter was third on the team in sacks (6.0) and third in tackles for a loss (eight), adding 33 total tackles, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery that he returned for a touchdown. His importance to the Eagles should grow in his second season with Fletcher Cox retired and 35-year-old Brandon Graham's role likely to shrink.

Asked to improve conditioning
Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said Carter needs to improve his conditioning, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Carter played 79 percent of the defensive snaps in Philadelphia's Week 2 win over Kansas City, so his stamina appears to be fine from that perspective. Even so, Fangio said both he and Carter have identified the need for the defensive tackle to get into better shape. It's been an odd start to the season for Carter, as he missed portions of training camp with a shoulder injury and was ejected before playing a snap in Week 1.
