Bell’s no better than a distant third on New England’s tight end depth chart behind veterans Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper. The 6-foot-2, 241-pound Bell is undersized for his position and thus struggles to block effectively. New England has added numerous contributors at skill positions via the draft and free agency this offseason, which will make it even tougher for the 2024 seventh-round pick to see the field after Bell had just two catches as a rookie. Bell didn’t play more than eight snaps on offense in a game outside of Week 18, when New England deployed a backup-heavy lineup.
