Chance to be NFL backup
QBFree Agent
April 12, 2026
King is the ninth-ranked quarterback in the comprehensive NFL Draft guide compiled by Dane Brugler of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
King has a chance to be a Day 3 draft pick, though there's also a possibility that his NFL career begins as an undrafted free agent. Brugler believes King could make it as a backup at the NFL level if the quarterback out of Georgia Tech can improve his processing speed. King threw 14 touchdown passes in each of his last two years at Georgia Tech after leading the ACC with 27 touchdown passes for the Yellow Jackets in 2023.
