2024 Fantasy Outlook
Uzomah's second season with the Jets was a disappointing one, as he caught just eight passes for 58 yards and a touchdown across 12 games before suffering a season-ending torn MCL. He was released in March, but he landed with the Eagles on a one-year deal and was healthy enough to participate in OTAs. He's found himself surrounded by talented teammates in his age-31 season and could contribute as the team's No. 2 tight end, but the Eagles have rarely targeted tight ends other than Dallas Goedert in recent seasons even when Goedert misses time. Reverts to practice squad
Uzomah reverted to the Eagles' practice squad Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.
ANALYSIS
Uzomah suited up for the Eagles' Week 11 win over the Commanders on Thursday night, playing just one offensive snap and failing to record a stat. He could rejoin Philadelphia's active roster as soon as the Week 12 matchup against the Rams, as the Eagles are currently carrying just two tight ends: Grant Calcaterra and Dallas Goedert.

Week 2 of the NFL Preseason kicks off Thursday night, and Sasha Yodashkin likes Joe Milton as the Patriots host the Eagles.
After sputtering down the stretch and being one-and-done in the playoffs last season, the Eagles brought in RB Saquon Barkley this offseason with an aim to stabilize an offense led by QB Jalen Hurts.
QB Aaron Rodgers is entering his second season in New York aiming to last longer than one game. He'll have all the tools at his disposal to get the Jets back to the playoffs for the first time since 2010.
Tyler Lockett is one of the many big-name WRs with no guaranteed money remaining on a sizable contract, potentially setting up a trade or release in the next few weeks.

Uzomah's set to reprise his role as the No. 2 tight end for the Jets, who are also returning Tyler Conklin and 2022 third-round pick Jeremy Ruckert. New York frequently used formations with two tight ends in 2022, but Uzomah topped 60 percent of offensive snaps only six times, while Conklin exceeded 70 percent 14 times. Conklin also racked up 552 yards to Uzomah's 232. Ruckert could push for more playing time in 2023, but the 6-6, 260-pound Uzomah is the largest of the three tight ends and the best blocker, so perhaps he can carve out a role as a red-zone weapon for Aaron Rodgers in New York's new-look offense.

Lands in Philly on one-year deal
Uzomah signed a one-year contract with the Eagles on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Uzomah never came close to living up to expectations with the Jets over the last two seasons after New York snapped him up following the veteran tight end's 49-catch, 493-yard, five-touchdown tally during the Bengals' 2021 campaign. Uzomah only produced a 29-290-3 receiving line over 17 games with Gang Green, and in Philadelphia, he may have a slightly bigger pass-catching role while serving as Dallas Goedert's primary backup.
