Dupree signed a one-year, $5 million deal with the Falcons this offseason after appearing in just 11 total games for a third straight season. In his last healthy campaign (2019), the veteran pass rusher totaled career highs in sacks (11.5) and forced fumbles (four). Dupree is healthy heading into 2023 and slated to be a starter opposite Lorenzo Carter, while recent draft picks Adetokunbo Ogundeji and Arnold Ebiketie operate as rotational pieces.
Dupree battled a number of injuries in his first season with the Titans, including a lingering knee issue as well an abdominal problem. He recorded only three sacks across 11 games as a result, and he will be looking to rebound to his form in 2019 and 2020 while in Pittsburgh when he recorded 11 sacks across 22 combined games.
Last season was a breakout year for Dupree, who had career highs in tackles, sacks, QB hits, forced fumbles and fumble recoveries. He's missed just one game in the past three seasons and is a key component of one of the league's most feared linebacker corps -- along with Devin Bush and T.J. Watt -- giving him a high ceiling in most IDP formats.
A healthy Dupree enters the 2019 season with a guaranteed $9.2 million salary. He puts up consistent numbers, but the league is deep at the linebacker position, diminishing his IDP fantasy value.
Dupree has recorded 14.5 sacks in 38 games, including a career best six sacks last season. Concerns about his durability after missing nine games in 2017 seems to be a distant memory, and he will again start at outside linebacker for a defensive unit that led the league with 56 sacks.
Pittsburgh had high expectations for Dupree after he recorded four sacks in his rookie season. Unfortunately, his sophomore campaign got off to a rocky start, with an abdominal injury in Week 1. As a result, Dupree played in just seven games, but still managed to exceed his sack total with 4.5. So long as he is healthy, he should start at outside linebacker and put up respectable fantasy totals.
The Steelers were so pleased with Dupree's rookie performance, in which he recorded 26 tackles including four sacks, that they felt comfortable declining Jarvis Jones' 2017 fifth-year option. Dupree is again expected to start this season opposite a platoon of Jones and James Harrison at outside linebacker, and it is safe to anticipate an increase in fantasy production as Dupree becomes more comfortable on the field.
Pittsburgh’s 2015 first round pick is expected to start this season opposite Jarvis Jones at outside linebacker. Dupree is a speed-rusher looking to improve on the Steelers’ lowest sack total since 1989. He also has the ability to drop into coverage, making him an intriguing fantasy option in IDP formats.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could head back to Pittsburgh
LBFree Agent
March 20, 2024
Mike Jones of The Athletic views the Steelers and Jaguars as the two best fits for Dupree in free agency.
ANALYSIS
Dupree is intimately with familiar with the Pittsburgh organization, as he spent his first six NFL seasons with the Steelers before playing two years with the Titans and spending 2023 in Atlanta. His 6.5 sacks with the Falcons suggest that the 31-year-old outside linebacker still has some gas in the tank, and the Jaguars could call upon Dupree to bolster their lackluster pass rush if the Steelers aren't interested in a reunion.
