2025 Fantasy Outlook
Muhammad re-signed with the Lions in the offseason after appearing in nine regular-season contests with the team in 2024, recording 11 total tackles, including 3.0 sacks, while also adding a pass defense. With Aidan Hutchinson and Marcus Davenport returning to action after suffering season-ending injuries last year, Muhammad will likely operate as a top reserve option at defensive end this season. RANKS
Game-wrecker in 2025
Muhammad produced 25 total tackles (15 solo), including 11.0 sacks, over 17 contests during the 2025 regular season.
ANALYSIS
Muhammad stepped into a starting role in 2025, and he rewarded the Lions by producing a career-high 11.0 sacks, which tied for 11th in the NFL. The 30-year-old had recorded just 15.0 sacks total over his previous seven seasons in the league, and he appears to have developed into quite the complement to Aidan Hutchinson on the defensive line. Muhammad is set to become a free agent in the offseason, but the Lions will likely look to keep him in Detroit for 2026.

Muhammad may benefit from playing in the defensive system that new coach Matt Eberflus brings over from Indianapolis, where the two previously worked together. After averaging 26.3 tackles per season between 2018 and 2020, Muhammad nearly doubled his production last year, when he recorded 48 stops. He also posted a career-high six sacks after never having more than three in a season. Going into his age-27 campaign, he should be a steady, but low-upside, fantasy producer in IDP leagues.
