ANALYSIS
Even though Michigan's team no longer has Dusty May as head coach, due to his signing with the Dallas Mavericks, McKenney logging any less than an improved role would be surprising. During the 2025-26 Wolverines' season, a championship-winning campaign, he not only logged 41 games but also averaged 9.9 points and 1.7 three-pointers made without starts. Nimari Burnett no longer enrolled at Michigan and the Wolverines not signing a proven replacement indicates that McKenney's role should be elevated next season.
