Mirkovic totaled 22 points (5-11 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 8-8 FT), nine rebounds and one assist in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 88-80 victory over Ohio State.
ANALYSIS
Mirkovic has started every game for the Illini and reached double figures in all but one, and Tuesday was his second-best scoring output of the season. He also leads Illinois in rebounding at 9.5 rpg, showing his usage and counting stats have hardly been effected by the return of Tomislav Ivisic down low. It's still early, but the international freshman has the makings of a league-winning early-season pickup.
