The Clippers traded Mann to the Hawks at the deadline last season, and he was on the move again this offseason. A multi-team trade centered around Kristaps Porzingis saw Mann shipped to Brooklyn, where the 28-year-old wing finds himself as the oldest guy on a rebuilding team. The only thing clear about Brooklyn's rotation is that Cam Thomas and Michael Porter are going to fire at will. The Nets had five draft picks in 2025 - Egor Demin, Nolan Traore, Drake Powell, Ben Saraf and Danny Wolf. Developmental minutes for the rookies will likely be prioritized, especially if Brooklyn is near the bottom of the standings again. Noah Clowney (21 years old) and Dariq Whitehead (21) are the only two returning players that can still be considered prospects, but Jalen Wilson (24), Tyson Etienne (25), Tyrese Martin (26) and Drew Timme (24) showed enough last season to get another look, as well. Making $15 million, Mann is the third-highest player on the team behind Nic Claxton and Porter. Even if it's not in their best interests, the Nets have a financial incentive to play Mann early with the hopes of moving him at the deadline and opening up more minutes for their younger players. The closest season Mann came to cracking the top-100 players in eight-category leagues was 2021-22, when he averaged career highs in points (10.8), rebounds (5.2), assists (2.6), steals (0.7) and minutes (28.6) per game. Despite playing primarily as a starter during the 2023-24 season, Mann struggled to put up anything close to tangible fantasy value, ending well outside the top 200 in nine-category leagues. With modest averages of just 8.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.9 three-pointers, Mann rightfully spent most of his time on the waiver wire. To this point in his career, Mann has been unable to produce consistently, a trend that needs to change should the Clippers hope to make any real noise this season. The departure of Paul George leaves a gaping hole in their offense, a hole that ideally Mann and Norman Powell will be working to fill. Both Kawhi Leonard and James Harden are going to shoulder the bulk of the scoring load, but Mann should at least be given an opportunity to step up on that end of the court. At this point, Powell would be the preferred target even if he is coming off the bench, given he has a proven track record when it comes to scoring the basketball. Mann is worth considering with a last-round pick and if things don't pan out, it's back to the waiver wire he goes.

The Nets could include Mann in a potential offer to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Bucks before the Feb. 5 deadline, according to Brian Lewis of The New York Post.
