2025 Fantasy Outlook
After four roller-coaster seasons in Houston, Green was packaged in a deal with Dillon Brooks and sent to Phoenix in exchange for Kevin Durant. Green plateaued in Houston and struggled mightily to end the year. He scored single digits in 16 of 89 total games in 2024-25, with seven of those coming during the Rockets' last 10 contests, including playoffs. While his highest-scoring campaign came in 2022-23 (22.1 points per game), Green was more efficient in all three phases during the following two seasons, elevating his value in category leagues. However, he's yet to crack the top 50, despite missing only six regular-season games over the last three years. Phoenix's roster construction for 2025-26 is puzzling overall, and one of the bigger questions is how Green will mesh with Devin Booker. Both are excellent 1-on-1 players, but for them to reach their peak fantasy value, they'll have to find a way to get each other open looks. Regardless of how well they work together, there isn't a player on this team who'll compete with the duo for usage, theoretically giving Green free rein offensively. That certainly bodes well for Green's overall value in points leagues, but managers in category leagues need to be aware that the 23-year-old guard has yet to shoot above 42 percent from the floor in four seasons. That likely won't change while operating as a go-to player in the Suns' clunky offense. Read Past Outlooks
Strong effort in loss
Green racked up 23 points (10-25 FG, 1-10 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, four assists and four steals in 39 minutes during Monday's 131-122 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
ANALYSIS
Green didn't have the best night shooting the ball, but he still put together an impressive stat line. Injuries derailed his first season in Phoenix, limiting him to 32 regular-season appearances. He posted averages of 17.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 2.2 three-pointers in 25.9 minutes per contest prior to the playoffs.

Green took a small step back last season, partially due to the addition of Fred VanVleet and the emergence of Alperen Sengun. However, the third-year pro was still second on the team in points (19.6) and third in assists (3.5) per game. While it wasn't enough to give fantasy managers a good return on investment, he had a massive end to the season. With Sengun sidelined for the final 18 games of the season, Green averaged 24.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.0 steals on 45/38/79 shooting. That could give optimists hope that the 22-year-old will be able to turn the corner in his development this season, but we also can't count on Sengun getting hurt again or taking on less usage. Green will have to prove he's capable of taking on a bigger scoring burden, and do so efficiently, which has been his main struggle to this point. And if Green doesn't have it going on a particular night, the Rockets have no shortage of young players with upside to steal some minutes. Fantasy managers don't have much to lose drafting Green around pick 80 in category formats - closer to 60 in points formats - but that's mostly based on faith in the player and not a better situation. If he can finally combine his top-shelf athleticism with better shooting from everywhere on the court, Green may start looking more like the No. 2 pick that he was in 2021.

ANALYSIS
Suns head coach, Jordan Ott confirmed Green's impending return Tuesday after the star guard was ruled out of Monday's game against the Nets. Green last played Nov. 8 and has made only two appearances for the Suns in 2025-26, so his return will provide a huge boost to Phoenix's offense.
